A British encounter of a younger kind is sweeping the stage on 7th Street in downtown Pittsburgh. Matilda, the Broadway and West End hit musical about a superlative young girl with extraordinary knowledge and wit, opens the Pittsburgh CLO's summer season at the Benedum Center.

A murder. A mystery. A few laughs with your wine and cheese. All of these are offered at the CLO Cabaret Theatre, where for the next few months, audiences can witness The 39 Steps on stage.

Pittsburgh CLO has announced the nominees for the 26th Annual Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater. The awards show will take place on Saturday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Benedum Center in downtown Pittsburgh.

PITTSBURGH CLO announced today before an enthusiastic crowd of Board Members, donors and friends at its Cabaret Theater in the Cultural District of downtown Pittsburgh that it has embarked on a $10 million fundraising effort called THE NEXT GENERATION CAMPAIGN, marking only the second capital campaign in the organization's 70-year history.

Pittsburgh CLO will host an exclusive evening with Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris (Fun Home) and co-creator/star of DISASTER! Seth Rudetsky at the CLO Cabaret on May 23. Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce the cast and creative team of THE 39 STEPS, May 19-August 14 at the CLO Cabaret.  Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have THE 39 STEPS, a fast-paced whodunit with a riotous blend of virtuoso performances by an incredible cast and wildly inventive stagecraft, including an on-stage plane crash!

Due to popular demand, FIRST DATE has been extended at the CLO Cabaret through May 8.  The show was previously scheduled to close on April 24.  Sunday evening performances have also been added including dates in April and May. Pittsburgh CLO Academy is proud to announce the cast of The Little Mermaid, Jr. at The CAPA Theater on March 19 at 3:30pm & 6:00pm. This production is just one of the many ways that Pittsburgh CLO Academy provides real-world performance opportunities for its students. 

Applications are now being accepted for the 2016 Pittsburgh CLO Summer Internship Program.   The Summer Internship Program runs approximately 10-13 weeks beginning in May through mid-August, depending upon the internship being applied for, and affords students 18 years of age and older the opportunity to work one-on-one with musical theater industry professionals.
