Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce the cast and creative team of THE 39 STEPS, May 19-August 14 at the CLO Cabaret. Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have THE 39 STEPS, a fast-paced whodunit with a riotous blend of virtuoso performances by an incredible cast and wildly inventive stagecraft, including an on-stage plane crash!

Cast & Creative Team
Luke Halferty (Clown) returns to the CLO Cabaret, where he last appeared as Aaron in FIRST DATE. A graduate of Point Park University's Conservatory, some of Mr. Halferty's regional credits include Young Scrooge in A Musical Christmas Carol with Pittsburgh CLO; Conservatory Theatre Co. (Oklahoma!, Urinetown, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, The School for Scandal, The Crucible), PICT Classic Theatre (Lady Windermere's Fan, The Crucifer of Blood, The "Scottish Play"), The REP (Of Mice and Men), Playhouse Jr. (The Outsiders) and St. Vincent Summer Theatre (Too Many Cooks, Jeeves in Bloom).

J. Alex Noble (Understudy) is a Pittsburgh area native and Point Park University graduate. You may have seen him on stage recently with Pittsburgh CLO (Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Sunset Boulevard, A Musical Christmas Carol), Pittsburgh Public Theater (My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls ), Pittsburgh Musical Theater (Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, LES MISERABLES, Peter Pan), PICT Classic Theater (Macbeth, Sharon's Grave), or with Stage Right! (Rocky Horror, Shrek, Secret Garden, Children of Eden, Spelling Bee, Jesus Christ Superstar, Tink, Bye Bye Birdie, Charlie Brown Christmas). THE 39 STEPS marks his CLO Cabaret Debut.

Megan Pickrell (Annabella/Margaret/Pamela) is making her Pittsburgh CLO Cabaret debut. A California native, Ms. Pickrell moved to Pennsylvania to receive her M.F.A. in Acting from Penn State University. Recent credits include Twelfth Night and The Importance of Being Earnest (Penn State), Drifting (Dixon Place), Cymbeline, Romeo and Juliet, Charlotte's Web (Orlando Shakespeare Theatre), Julius Caesar (Muse of Fire) and Love's Labour's Lost (Georgia Shakespeare).

Quinn Patrick Shannon (Clown) is thrilled to return for his fourth production at the CLO Cabaret. He previously appeared in Plaid Tidings (Frankie), Judge Jackie Justice (Male Swing) and A Grand Night for Singing (Male Swing). Most recently, Mr. Shannon played Nicely Nicely Johnson in Pittsburgh Public Theater's production of Guys and Dolls. Other credits include My Fair Lady with Pittsburgh Public Theater (Ensemble), Forever Plaid (Frankie) with the Mountain Playhouse, Young Frankenstein (Igor) with Pittsburgh Musical Theater and Our Class (Wladek) with PICT Classic Theatre.

Allan Snyder (Richard Hannay) is making his Pittsburgh debut at the CLO Cabaret. A recent transplant from New York City, Mr. Snyder appeared on Broadway in LES MISERABLES, Off-Broadway in The Fantasticks and just finished a successful run in the national tour of The Phantom of the Opera (on many occasions appearing in the title role). Favorite regional credits include Kiss Me Kate (Fred/Petruchio), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Percy), The Full Monty (Jerry) and White Christmas (Bob Wallace).

Kelly Trumbull (Understudy) returns to CLO Cabaret after appearing as Gabriella in last year's production of Boeing Boeing. Additional local theater credits include productions with Quantum Theatre, The Rep at Point Park University, Bricolage Production Company, No Name Players, City Theater Company and Pittsburgh Public Theater's Young Company. Favorite roles include Gloria in By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, Freddy Reception in Strata, Abigail Williams in The Crucible, Jenny in Backsliding in the Promised Land (world premiere) and Jessica in This is Our Youth. Ms. Trumbull currently teaches in the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University and Carnegie Mellon University's School of Music. She holds a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University and a Master's in Educational Theatre from New York University.

Guy Stroman (Director) directed and choreographed Forever Plaid for the inaugural production of the Pittsburgh CLO Cabaret. He has since directed that show for the fifth anniversary of the Cabaret, both productions of Plaid Tidings, and Pittsburgh CLO's production of Ring Of Fire. He has directed numerous productions of plays and musicals around the country and in New York, including: Driving Miss Daisy and The Glass Menagerie, both starring Sandy Duncan; The King and I, starring Lou Diamond Phillips (Best Director Award), Loot (Best Production award-Pittsburgh Post-Gazette); Twelfth Night (Cleveland Playhouse); 1776 (Best Director Award); Man of La Mancha (Audience Favorite Award), to name a few. Mr. Stroman originated the role of Frankie in Forever Plaid in New York, London's West End and Los Angeles, where he won the L.A. Drama Critics Award for Best Actor.

Tony Ferrieri (Set Designer) returns to Pittsburgh CLO where he recently designed FIRST DATE, GIRLS ONLY and BOEING BOEING. City Theatre: Sex With Strangers, Sunset Baby, The Night Alive. Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre: Miss Julie, The Piano Lesson. barebones: One Flew Over the Coo-coo's Nest, A Streetcar Named Desire. Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center: The Little Mermaid. Quantum: The Master Builder, The Winter's Tale. International Poetry Forum: Tell it to the Marines. Dana Phil Playhouse Productions: You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up, Other credits include designs for: Milieu Theatrics NY, Jewish Theatre of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Opera, Carrnivale, PICT, Emelin Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Madison Rep, TheatreWorks, 1812 Productions, REP, Playhouse Conservatory, Tuesday Musical Club, Hartwood, Gargaro, Physical Theatre, Spur of the Moment, Chatham, Pitt, Development Dimensions International, Saltworks and Unseam'd.

Andrew Ostrowski (Lighting Designer) counts the following among his national credits: The National High School Musical Theatre Awards in NYC, The Asolo, Virginia Stage Company, North Shore Music Theatre, George Street Playhouse, TheatreWorks, New York Theater Institute, Merrimack Repertory Company, The Arden Theatre, Spoleto Festival USA, Madison Opera. Internationally his designs have appeared in France, Sweden, Scotland, and Ireland. From 1998-2003, Mr. Ostrowski was the Lighting Director for an international tour of the Gershwin opera Porgy and Bess. Local credits: Pittsburgh Public Theater, Pittsburgh Opera, PICT, Pittsburgh Ballet, City Theatre, Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Symphony, The REP, The Conservatory Company at the Playhouse, as well as others.

Stephanie Shaw (Costume Designer) currently works at City Theatre Company as the Costume Shop Manager. Ms. Shaw is new to Pittsburgh, moving here from her previous job as Instr. Asst. Professor of Costume Technology for the University of Mississippi, Ole Miss. Some of her costume design credits include: The Spitfire Grill (Ole Miss 2015), World Builders (Contemporary American Theatre Festival 2015), Blood Brothers (Texas Shakespeare Festival 2012), The Taming of the Shrew (TSF 2011) and Hamlet (Reduxion Theatre Company NYC 2006).

This madcap comic thriller features a juicy spy story mixed with a dash of Monty Python mayhem. A young man bored with life falls in with a mysterious woman claiming to be a secret agent and soon he's the target of a cross-country manhunt with a shadowy organization called "The 39 Steps" on his trail. Four ridiculously talented actors take on over 150 roles in a plot packed with intrigue, international danger, an on-stage plane crash, old-fashioned romance, high-spirited comedy and a death-defying finale!
