Rob McClure has revealed via Twitter that he has tested positive for Covid and will be out of Little Shop of Horrors until Saturday, July 30.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS – in partnership with the Times Square Alliance and the Westside Theatre – will be hosting a Skid Row Block Party on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the musical’s premiere at the Orpheum Theatre in July 1982.

Skylar Astin revealed in an Instagram story post that he tested positive for COVID-19, and will be missing some upcoming performances of Little Shop of Horrors. 

Tony, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, and Drama Desk Award Nominated Broadway star Rob McClure will take on the lead role of Seymour in the off-Broadway production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS beginning next month!

A new Seymour is in town! Just last week, award-winning film, television, and Broadway star Skylar Astin took over in the three-time Best Musical Revival Award-winning production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and now he talks about playing the role for the first time in a special interview.

Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect, Spring Awakening, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”) made his debut as Seymour in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS last night, Tuesday, May 17, at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street).

The cast ofIntroduced by composer Alan Menken, the cast performed 'Skid Row (Downtown),' 'Feed Me (Git It!),' 'Somewhere That's Green,' 'Dentist!,' and 'Suddenly Seymour.' The concert featured performances by Conrad Ricamora, Tammy Blanchard, Christian Borle, Aaron Arnell Harrington, Stuart Zagnit, Tatiana Lofton, Cristina Raé, and Khadija Sankoh.

While painting the town green in honor of the 40th anniversary of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS’ world premiere in 1982, Tony Award-winning producers Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens and Hunter Arnold have overfed the plants (with an abundance of rain) and will need to postpone the block party originally scheduled for Friday, May 6.

The Off-Broadway revival of Alan Menken & Howard Ashman's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will paint the town green in honor of the musical's ruby red 40th anniversary. Beginning Thursday, April 28, and throughout the month of May, there will be various events, contests, special performances, and activations to celebrate the beloved, award-winning show's incredible legacy.

Production photos have been released of two-time Grammy nominee and Theater World Award winner Conrad Ricamora as Seymour in the three-time Best Musical Revival Award-winning production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. Ricamora began his run in the starring role on January 11, 2022 at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street).
