I have to admit that I was very excited when I read that veteran actor Michael Winther would be returning to Center Stage to star in the Pulitzer Prize winning musical NEXT TO NORMAL. It was Director David Schweizer who asked Winther to come to Center Stage for the role of Dan. Schweizer also directed Winther back in 2007 when he played the role of Dromio in BOYS FROM SYRACUSE along with Manu Narayan and Paolo Montalban. Winther became friends with Narayan when the two both worked on Broadway at the same time, Narayan was the star of BOMBAY DREAMS at the Broadway Theater and Winther was down the street at the Winter Garden in MAMMA MIA! Winther related it was Narayan who called him up last year to take Narayan's place in San Paolo, Brazil to perform in the KIezmer musical THE NIGHT IN THE OLD MARKET PLACE. So Winther spent ten days in Brazil along with another actress from the BOYS FROM SYRACUSE, Charlotte Cohn.

It's a weird time in the world right now. It's always been a weird time in EGGland. The Lovely Eggs, the acclaimed psych-punk duo, who are set to release their new album 'I Am Moron' this coming April 3rd via EGG Records, had been due to tour the UK in April to promote the album's release and many of the dates were already sold out. Obviously, due to current world events the tour now cannot take place, but The Lovely Eggs are not the giving up type, and the band have successfully already rescheduled all of their dates to now take place in July.

Last year, owing to the CD release Come and Get It: the Best of Apple Records, Beatles' fans and the music-buying public has finally gotten reacquainted with the name of Lon Van Eaton. In 1971, Lon and his brother Derrek had formed a singing duo in their native New Jersey, when they were signed to The Beatles' Apple Records and recorded an album called Brother (1973). The album (the first-ever CD compilation of several artists signed to The Beatles' Apple label) finds Lon & Derrek in good company, including Apple-singles from James Taylor, Mary Hopkin, Billy Preston, and Badfinger, with their track 'Sweet Music.' Concurrent with that release, Lon Van Eaton announced plans for a new interactive entertainment show called Livies - Live Interactive Visual Immersion Entertainment Shows. The production features all original music and rear-and-front projected images on three domes; much akin to the ones featured on the new Paula Abdul show called Live To Dance.

Julian Lennon makes a welcome return to music, when he releases his brand new single 'Someday' on his 50th birthday, April 8th, 2013. Featuring Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, 'Someday' is an irresistible Julian composition built around compelling lyrics and stately strings. Julian Lennon has marked his half-century with an immediate pop hit with a mystical Eastern flavor; this track truly feels like an old friend. He commented: '2013 highlights another year of inspiration for me, in regards to music, photography and philanthropy, and 'Someday' is a reflection of that.'
