The Ojai Playwrights Conference is announcing the cast for a?oeWAKE UP! Combating Climate Change,a?? one of two special Intersection Events being presented as part of the 2019 New Works Festival of new play readings and special performance events (August 4--11).

After three successful years, NEW CENTURY DANCE PROJECT (NCDP) returns to Salt Lake City August 13-17, 2019 with an all new focus. NCDP, the brain-child of Santa Fe-based choreographer and educator Francisco Gella (RDT dancer 1996-1998), brings together professional teaching artists, dancers and companies from Utah and across North America to share their expertise and artistic excellence with young aspiring dancers ages 8-22 training for their future. For the third year, RDT is proud to be a sponsoring partner of the event held at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.

Leg Up On Life is uniting some of New York's most inspiring entertainers in the arts community for its third NIGHT OF LIFE benefiting The Trevor Project (21+). This explosive arts performance party will take place at Sony Hall on Monday, August 26th, 2019.

State Street in downtown Chicago. The Intensive culminates in performances July 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. at the Reva and David Logan Center, 915 E. 60th Street in Hyde Park.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. All performances are world, US, or New York premieres; they are united by their convention-breaking fearlessness as they confront topics from social injustice to personal demons. Many of the performances pay homage to legendary artists of our time and previous eras, while the theme of migration and its transformational effects on identity informs several others. Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more! Shakespeare by the Sea's stunning 22nd season continues with Shakespeare's bold and patriotic Henry V opening June 20. Ovation award winner Stephanie Coltrin helms the historical play focusing on events immediately before and after the Battle of Agincourt during the Hundred Years' War.

Town Hall Theater is excited to screen the excellent production of the National Theatre's All About Eve on the big screen Sunday, June 23 at 2pm. Directed by Ivo Van Hove and starring Gillian Anderson and Lily James, this new stage adaptation of All About Eve is based on the classic award-winning film.

The Empower Her Project CEO and Founders Raquel Wilson and Tynisha Lewis announced today that the 2nd Annual Women of Color Empowerment Brunch (WCEB) will be held Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm at Jordan Downs Community Center, 1501 E. 103rd Street in Los Angeles, California. The brunch is designed to bridge a gap between young millennial women of color who are starting out in business, connecting them with veteran women of color from around the world who are already thriving in business. Santa Barbara Dance Theater, the professional company in residence at UCSB, presents its annual Lobero Season at 8:00pm on May 8 and 9 with performances that celebrate spring's resurgence and the passionate creative energy that artists bring to life. The program includes a premiere by UCSB faculty member Brandon Whited, two works by guest choreographers Andrea Giselle Schermoly and Ephrat "Bounce" Asherie, two by artistic director Christopher Pilafian and special guest appearances by cellist/composer Gianna Abondolo; and the UCSB Dance Company.

The Las Vegas Philharmonic and Music Director Donato Cabrera announced the 2019 2020 concert season today, which will include 11 performances from September 7, 2019 through May 9, 2020 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The orchestra's 21st season offers an exhilarating mix of Masterworks and Pops concerts that celebrate cherished classical works by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mozart and Vivaldi in addition to energetic programs including a night of movie music from Danny Elfman and Tim Burton film collaborations, a nod to Opera and Broadway in an all Kurt Weill program plus two distinct holiday concerts including a nostalgic celebration featuring beloved seasonal melodies to an all Baroque program with Handel's Messiah.
