Interview: Maria Finkelmeier of DIES IRAE, DESIRÉE at Bag & Baggage
by Dawn Sellers - Mar 3, 2026

When I first read about this show and the Composer and Co-Director described by the Boston Globe as a “one-woman dynamo,” I knew I wanted to meet and interview Maria Finkelmeier. A classically trained percussionist turned composer turned multidisciplinary architect of experience, she is the kind of artist who builds entire ecosystems out of rhythm.

Review: ANGELS IN AMERICA, PART TWO: PERESTROIKA at Theater West End
by Albert Gutierrez - Feb 21, 2026

Theater West End was wise to split Angels in America in the season as two separate performances, each with their own block in the schedule. Originally, I was concerned that the Part Two of it all might turn away prospective theatergoers. But upon watching both parts now, and bearing in mind my own familiarity for the characters, I can also see now how the original production’s 18-month gap would have also been enticing for an audience.

Review: WHAT I’D BE, Jack Studio
by Clementine Scott - Feb 20, 2026

The premise of What I’d Be is disarmingly simple: two estranged sisters sit on a bench in a small town, and talk. In one unflinchingly cathartic hour of theatre, they’ve ricocheted from outright resentment to reconciliation.

Review: THREE COCONUTS World Premiere Comedy at Miles Memorial Playhouse

Review: LITTLE MISS PERFECT at The Olney Theatre Center
by Audrey Cahak - Feb 22, 2026

As part of their self-ascribed “year of world premieres,” Olney Theatre Center is debuting the profoundly peppy, wonderfully messy, coming-of-age celebration Little Miss Perfect, written by Joriah Kwamé. The musical has been in development for more than five years, originally based on the catchy song of the same title written by Kwamé, which found stardom in the 2020 Write Out Loud contest.
