Lear: That Old Man I Used To Know, a new play based on Shakespeare's King Lear, is currently in performances at A.R.T/New York Theatres - Gural Theatre - 3rd Floor (502 W. 53rd Street, between 10th and 11th) for a limited engagement through September 22. The opening is Sunday, September 8. Lear: That Old Man I Used To Know is adapted and directed by Beth Ann Hopkins (Enemy; The Tempest) with musical direction and arrangements by Elliot Roth (Our Sinatra; resident composer- Jeff Davis Dance), and is produced by Smith Street Stage.

Maria Friedman and Anita Dobson join the company of Trevor Nunn's critically acclaimed production of Fiddler on the Roof, which is currently running at the reconfigured Playhouse Theatre until 28 September. Friedman plays Golde, and Dobson plays Yente from 18 June, taking over from Judy Kuhn and Louise Gold respectively. Washington Ensemble Theatre has announced the cast for the Seattle premiere of Feathers and Teeth, the twisted horror comedy by Charise Castro Smith that grapples with the power of grief and the dangers of the other side. WET members Rachel Guyer-Mafune (WET: Teh Internet Is Serious Business, ACT: The Wolves, Book-It: Howl's Moving Castle) and Samie Spring Detzer (WET: Teh Internet Is Serious Business, Revolt. She said. Revolt again.) return to the WET stage to star as the creepy cool daughter/stepmother duo, Chris and Carol. Brandon J. Simmons (WET: Sextet, The Seagull Project: The Cherry Orchard, The Three Sisters) joins the cast as Arthur and James Schilling (ArtsWest: Peter and the Starcatcher, The Horse in Motion: The Great Noise) makes his WET debut as Hugo. WET's Associate Artistic Director Bobbin Ramsey directs.
