Since creating and starring in In the Heights and Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda has become one of the most influential creators on Broadway. His work has earned him great acclaim and he's collected too many awards to count, including a Pulitzer Prize, an Emmy Award, three Grammy Awards, three Tony Awards and a Kennedy Center Honor.

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of André Bishop, has announced it will produce a new musical during its 2019-2020 season. FLYING OVER SUNSET, with a book and direction by James Lapine, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Michael Korie, will feature choreography by Michelle Dorrance, and will begin previews March 12, 2020 and open on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Carmen Cusack, Harry Hadden-Paton and Tony Yazbeck will head the cast with additional casting to be announced at a later date.

Nickelodeon today unveiled the brand-new cast of '90s icon, All That, featuring a talented and diverse group of comedians who reflect the spirit and humor of today's generation of kids. Ranging in age from 12-15, each kid brings their own unique comedic skill to the show, from impressions of today's biggest celebrities, to original characters inspired by their lives, to physical comedy sketches. Executive produced by original cast members Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, All That premieres on Saturday, June 15, at 8:30pm (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

Hartford Stage announced today the cast and creative team for the world premiere musical The Flamingo Kid, helmed by Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak. The musical, which closes the 2018-19 season, boasts an impressive cast of Broadway and regional theatre talent. Performances for The Flamingo Kid begin on Thursday, May 9, and run through Sunday, June 9.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center today announced the 2019/2020 season of its Broadway Series, featuring Once on This Island; Bandstand; The Band's Visit; The SpongeBob Musical; An American in Paris and The Color Purple. Season subscribers will also have the option to add Once and Blue Man Group to their season subscription.

As an Indonesian born theatre-lover, I remember seeing my first Broadway show, which was the Miss Saigon Revival. As a proud Asian myself, I could not believe that I was seeing the iconic helicopter scene from the mezzanine, after growing up singing 'I'd Give My Life for You' in my living room all the time. Beyond its theatrical elements, it was heartwarming to see someone like myself portrayed on a Broadway stage where people of varying cultures could witness a group of Asian performers shine on stage. As Broadway is starting to become more progressive in the realms of diversity and representation, here are some of the Asian actresses gracing the stage this year.

Producers Anita Greenspan and Tony Hawk with Executive producer Adam Zotovich announced today that a new musical adaptation of the 2007 Nick Hornby novel, SLAM, is in development. This new project will feature a book by Tony Award Nominee Kyle Jarrow (SpongeBob SquarePants the Musical) with music and lyrics by Mark Mothersbaugh (prolific film composer, co-founder of new wave band Devo). Pro-skater Tony Hawk, who is featured as a character in the novel, is a producer on the project and is slated to develop skate choreography.

Following their sold-out concert Crazy Rainbow Days: New Songs by Will Van Dyke & Jeff Talbott at Feinstein's/54 Below, the musical theatre writing team is releasing the single "Take Me to the Party", performed both in the concert and on the single by Broadway star Wesley Taylor.

Grammy-nominated rock band Panic! At The Disco's latest single “High Hopes” is a certified hit, led by 2,800 spins at SiriusXM's Hits 1‎ the single claims the #1 spot across three radio formats this week including Pop, Hot AC, and Alternative radio. The song, which was just certified PLATINUM by the Recording Industry Association of America last month for exceeding 1 million units sold, has also cracked the Top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart, making it their biggest single since 2006's breakout “I Write Sins Not Tragedies.”
