On Friday, April 17th, I had the pleasure of seeing a phenomenal show at the Warner (specifically the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre) in Torrington, CT, THE WEDDING SINGER, based on the 1998 movie that is set in 1985. The book for this stage adaptation of the film written by Chris Herlihy is written by Chad Beguelin and Chris Herlihy, with music by Matthew Sklar and lyrics by Chad Beguelin. Director and choreographer Travis Kendrick-Castanho combines his strong directing talents with those of the associate Emily Rafala and the musical director Nate McCuin to help bring out the best in this first-rate cast! Without exception, every lead and ensemble cast member absolutely excels in his or her role or roles!

Colin Mochrie and hypnotist Asad Mecci will bring HYPROV – Improv Under Hypnosis to the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre on December 3. Tickets go on sale April 10.

The Finnish National Opera and Ballet has announced its 2026–2027 season, featuring a mix of new productions and returning repertoire across opera and ballet.

DreamWorks The Prince of Egypt is a stage musical with a book by Phillip LaZebnik and music/lyrics by the great Stephen Schwartz. A retelling of the Book of Exodus, based on the 1998 DreamWorks Animation film of the same name. The story follows Moses on his journey from being the Prince of Egypt, being cast out altogether, and then ultimately fulfilling his true destiny of leading the Children of Israel out of Egypt.
