The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, in association with Riki Kane Larimer and Keylight Productions, presents the return engagement of the hit Off-Broadway musical Enter Laughing: The Musical with book by Joseph Stein and music and lyrics by Stan Daniels, based on the play Enter Laughing by Joseph Stein from the novel by Carl Reiner. Enter Laughing: The Musical, with direction and musical staging by York Theatre favorite Stuart Ross (York's Forever Plaid, Enter Laughing), music direction by Phil Reno (Something Rotten), and choreography by Jennifer Paulson-Lee (Enter Laughing), returns to kick off The York's year-long 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Performances began May 7, 2019 for a limited return engagement through Sunday, June 9, 2019 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Opening Night is TONIGHT, May 16, 2019 at 6:45 p.m.

Paines Plough Announces Productions, Tour Dates And Casting For ROUNDABOUT 2019

Artistic Directors of Paines Plough James Grieve and George Perrin today announced casting, creative team and tour for their final ROUNDABOUT season. Paines Plough's award-winning portable in-the-round auditorium, ROUNDABOUT was conceived by Grieve and Perrin and launched in 2014. ROUNDABOUT will showcase three world premieres, ON THE OTHER HAND, WE'RE HAPPY by Daf James, DEXTER AND WINTER'S DETECTIVE AGENCY by Nathan Bryon and DAUGHTERHOOD by Charley Miles across the country.

The Green Room 42 presents the debut performance of New York City based band Stereo Dawn on Sunday, May 19th at 9:30pm. Standout performer on and off Broadway, Chris Dwan (Finding Neverland, Enter Laughing) and multi-talented music director/orchestrator, Will Van Dyke (Pretty Woman, Kinky Boots, RENT) make their Green Room 42 concert debut. Inspired by singer-songwriters of the 90s, boy bands of the 2000s and contemporary music of today, this duo will be joined by some of New York's best musicians to perform a set of all new, original tunes. After years of experience bringing new musicals to life on Broadway, regionally and across the world, there's new music on the horizon.

BWW Review: THE WHO'S TOMMY at the Kennedy Center

From the beginning strumming of the electric guitars (Manny Moreira, Jim Roberts and Paul Henry) from the fabulous Kennedy Center Orchestra's 8-piece orchestra (Joe Mowart on Drums, Geoffrey Pilkington on Horn, and on Keyboards Michael Gacetta, Anthony Nalker, and Alex Tang) I was hooked. I had a perpetual smile on my face watching this spectacular production under the Direction of Josh Rhodes who also did the superb Choreography.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team as comic playwright Ken Ludwig, who delighted Globe audiences with Robin Hood! and Baskerville, returns with a hilarious world premiere: Ken Ludwig's The Gods of Comedy, directed by Amanda Dehnert (West Side Story at Carnegie Hall, world premieres of Kate Hamill's Pride and Prejudice and Ludwig's Baskerville). Presented in association with McCarter Theatre Center, The Gods of Comedy will run May 11 - June 16, 2019 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage, Old Globe Theatre, Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, opening on May 16. FRANKENSTEIN Will Embark on a New UK Tour

A new theatrical adaptation of Mary Shelley's seminal 1818 gothic horror novel Frankenstein is set to depict Shelley onstage, as she unfolds her monstrous tale of creature and creator. Adapted by award-winning writer Rona Munro and co-produced by leading company Selladoor (in the company's tenth anniversary year), Matthew Townshend Productions, Belgrade Theatre Coventry, and Perth Theatre at Horsecross Arts, the production will tour nationwide from 2 September - 30 November 2019. Further dates and casting are yet to be announced.

Plans for the company's 2019-2020 season include The Tempest, The Rivals, Troilus and Cressida, and Macbeth. "Each of these plays in their own way has a moment when it comes down to a singular choice," said Mount.
