The Stecher and Horowitz Foundation will be honoring longtime Lawrence, NY resident Margaret O. Carpenter at its annual gala benefit evening on Friday, April 14, 2023 at New York City's Lotos Club.  Ms. Carpenter is being honored for her unique and magnificent humanitarian qualities, and has been associated with the Stecher & Horowitz Foundation for more than forty years both as a board member and currently as the Foundation's Board Chair.  As Chair of the Board, she has carried the Foundation to greater heights through her encouragement and perseverance.

Pat Catterson and Molissa Fenley, two of the seminal figures in modern dance, will present a collaborative program titled Taking the Long View at The Dance Complex on Saturday and Sunday April 15-16.

Harle - experiments with melodies & sounds less familiar in the pop mainstream, from the Scottish bagpipes in “Blood And Butter” to flamenco rhythms in “Sunset.” An ethereal experience, this album is filled with lush vocal adornments, lyrics bursting with odes to love.

Based on the 1884 novel A Moreninha, by Manoel de Macedo, and bringing back the romantic atmosphere of the 1950s, to the sound of the oldies goldies immortalized by Celly Campello, Túnel do Amor (Tunnel of Love) opens at Teatro Liberdade, with 20 actors on stage.
