The Players production will have that big band sound you love with a 16-piece orchestra! Students from Pine View School, under the direction of Vic Mongillo, will volunteer their time and talents along with professional musicians to create that classic sound.

The UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television (UCLA TFT) announced today a new revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel, set to open Friday, May 6, 2016 at UCLA TFT's Freud Playhouse. The play, directed by UCLA TFT Adjunct Associate Professor Jeremy Mann, with musical direction by Adjunct Associate Professor Dan Belzer, will feature Broadway actress Linda Kerns and undergraduate acting students from the UCLA TFT Department of Theater.
Cortland Repertory Theatre is turning their new downtown performing arts venue into a swank and swinging nightclub to celebrate Valentine's Day with Sweet, Sinatra…And All That Jazz, to be held on Saturday night, February 13th. New York City crooner and CRT star Marcus Goldhaber and his jazz musicians, The In Time Band will provide an evening of live, smooth jazz music, and a dance floor will be available for those couples who would like to cut a rug. Also include in the ticket price is an elegant dessert buffet, with delicacies created by local dessert artist Mary Turturro of "Mary's Cakes". Complimentary non-alcoholic punch will be available, along with a cash bar with wine from Americana Vineyards and beer from Bacchus Brewing Inc. Seating is reserved, and will be arranged cabaret style at small four-person tables. Singles or couples, families or groups of friends are invited; all are welcome to sit and enjoy the sweets and music, or show their dancing skills on the dance floor.
