On Your Feet, the Gloria Estefan bio-musical closes today, August 20, after a nearly two year run at the Marquis Theatre. The show will launch a national tour this fall, with plans to also run abroad.

Producers James L. Nederlander, Estefan Enterprises, Inc and Bernie Yuman have announced that Cuban-American Broadway actress Christie Prades will star as seven-time GRAMMY winning international superstar Gloria Estefan, and acclaimed stage and television actor Mauricio Martinez will play her 19-time Grammy-winning producer and husband Emilio Estefan, in the First National Tour of the Broadway musical On Your Feet!

This past weekend, the Bethel College Department of Theatre opened their production of Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II's, Oklahoma! Under the direction of Deb Swerman, Oklahoma! can go down in Bethel history as another outstanding and extremely successful large-scale musical production.

Today, producers of the smash-hit musical ON YOUR FEET! announced that Original Broadway Cast member Doreen Montavlo (In the Heights, Giant, Flashdance the Musical) will take over the role of Gloria Fajardo - Gloria Estefan's mother - on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

The successful careers of sisters Yassmin and Karmine Alers on Broadway mirror the show they currently perform in -- ON YOUR FEET! the true story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan -- two people who believed in the power of their music, their love, and the American Dream. Karmine is a swing member of the cast, and Yassmin is part of the singing and dancing ensemble.

TODAY's Kathie Lee Gifford and composer David Friedman co-wrote a special song titled 'The Home Team' for special 12-year-old Brianna Lopez as part of the show's 'Everyone Has a Story' segment.

Effective immediately, ON YOUR FEET! will now play Sunday evenings at 7pm (with the matinee moving from 3pm to 2pm), in lieu of their Wednesday night performances at 8pm. The complete performance schedule is Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm, Thursday at 7pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm & 7pm.

ON YOUR FEET!'s ensemble cast member Genny Lis Padilla, who also plays the role of Rebecca in the hit Broadway musical, took to Twitter last night to thank her cast and crew for pulling off an impressive feat - performing the show without working sets!

This is Velasco's eleventh show taking care of Broadway's smallest stars.
