Ana Villafaña will play Alina Fernandez in Alina of Cuba: La Hija Rebelde. The film follows the Cuban American immigrant and human rights advocate who was born to Fidel Castro and Natalia “Naty” Revuelta as the result of an affair. Fernandez eventually became one of Castro's most outspoken critics and was arrested on multiple occasions.
Fresh off her run as Roxie Hart in Chicago, Anna Villafañe has joined the cast of Bill Lawrence's Apple TV+'s new series, Bad Monkey, based on the novel by Carl Hiaasen. Villafaña joins Rob Delaney, Ahmed Elhaj, Arturo Luiss Soria, and the previously announced Vince Vaughn in the upcoming series.
