As the story unfolds, the unforgiving realities of his shattered life intertwine with Shakespeare's radiant, immortal text, while the man teeters dangerously close to the brink.

Elayce Ismail directs Tom Mothersdale (Him/Man) joining the previously announced Richard Katz (Tatte) and Abigail Weinstock (Her/Baba). The production opens on 14 October, with previews from 7 October, and runs until 27 November. Learn about the cast and how to get tickets.

Kent Tritle's 2021-22 season schedule features a full slate of events: he leads five concerts at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine with the Cathedral Choir, four with Oratorio Society of New York, four with Musica Sacra, and three with groups at the Manhattan School of Music.

Committed to supporting the future of accessible digital theatre, the matinee performance will be streamed with live captioning at 3.30pm and the evening performance will be streamed at 8pm.

Originally banned in Britain, Wilde's outrageously provocative Salomé comes to Southwark Playhouse after an original run at Greenwich Theatre in 2019. This immersive new version sits the audience at Herod's banqueting table on his birthday, but the lavish affair with innocuous cake and party hats soon descends from garish to gore.

The theatre will continue to offer a digital representation of shows for those who have been watching across the state and world, or are otherwise unable to visit the theatre in person.  They'll also continue to present closed captioned digital performances, and digital shows will still be offered on a pay-what-you-will basis.

Previewing at the Apollo Theatre from 16 April 2022 with the opening night on 28 April 2022, Jerusalem will run until 6 August 2022.  There will be over 800 seats at £15 or under each week across the house throughout the run with additional education rates of £25 per student ticket. 

The season includes Well Made @ The Playground – a mini-season of new theatre, opera, and contemporary dance from developing artists – and Ida Rubinstein: The Final Act, a play with music and dance that chronicles the untold story of dance’s Forgotten Diva. 

After Hours: Songs of Protest honors and celebrates a wide range of passionate music that galvanizes activists for social justice. This program of iconic songs, made famous by performers like Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye, and Sam Cooke, is specially curated by Host and Artist in Residence Russell Thomas. Soprano Brandie Sutton, baritone Justin Austin.
