Chris Isaacson Presents presented Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp: Acoustically Speaking at Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood. Acoustically Speaking features two Broadway favorites and original stars of Rent coming together to celebrate music, memories, and their 20-year friendship.

It's not everyday you get rediscovered music, posthumously released music from a musical theater icon, but alas that day has come. "The Jonathan Larson Project" is a new album featuring previously unreleased music from the late composer and playwright. This collection of songs comes from shows that never had seen the light of day in addition to some standalone tracks. Larson tragically passed away in 1996 at the young age of 35, but not before leaving us with the soon-to-be cultural touchstone RENT and highly commendable, autobiographical tick, tick... BOOM! Ghostlight Records released this compilation of songs earlier this month. Give it a listen here! The physical CD is set for release this June, in tandem with a 40-page hardcover book contextualizing the material.

DPAC announced today that the RENT 20th Anniversary Tour will return due to popular demand. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, April 27th at 10 am. The Broadway musical will play January 28 through February 2, 2020 at DPAC.

It has been confirmed today that the multi-award winning, record breaking musical CHICAGO is coming to Melbourne next summer! Produced in Australia by John Frost and Suzanne Jones, this Australian production will premiere at Sydney's Capitol Theatre in August before the Brisbane season in November at QPAC's Lyric Theatre and culminating in a season at the State Theatre, Arts Centre Melbourne from December.

The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, a program within the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, is thrilled to honor Michigan native and Tony Award-winning producer of 'Hamilton,' Jeffrey Seller, with the 2019 Apple Award on Wednesday, March 27 at the Fisher Theatre. The national tour company of the Jonathan Larson musical about artists trying to make it big in New York City rolled into Columbus for an eight-show stay March 19-24 at the Palace Theatre (34 West Broad St. in downtown Columbus).

Shea's Performing Arts Center announced today that 30 seats in the first rows of the orchestra section will be available for $30 for every performance of RENT, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical. The $30 tickets are available for in-person, cash only purchases at the Shea's Buffalo Theatre Box Office, located at 650 Main St., on the day of each performance only, two hours prior to the show. The $30 tickets are limited to two tickets per person.
