Diversionary Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for its production of The Mystery of Irma Vep by Charles Ludlam, co-directed by Diversionary Executive Artistic Director Matt M. With an all female Mexican cast, Lozano’s new Mexican musical DESAPARECIDAS will start rehearsals next week. Florencia Cuenca (Children of Salt, A Never-Ending Line) will lead this ensemble piece with her character of “La Jenni”. It will run Dec 2nd through the 18th.

Live Arts Theater's 2022/23 Transformations Season journeys forward with the award-winning musical VIOLET. This soaring musical pilgrimage features music by Jeanine Tesori and lyrics and book by Brian Crawley. VIOLET will have 12 performances in the Gibson Theater, November 18 through December 10, 2022.

Casa Mañana will present the world premiere co-production of Here You Come Again: How Dolly Saved My Life in 12 Easy Songs, presented by Frank Kent Cadillac.

Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment has announced the casting for the world premiere of Claus The Musical which will run at The Lowry from 14 December 2022 – 8 January. Tony Award-winning Broadway veteran John Rubinstein performs in his first one-man show Eisenhower: This Piece of Ground at Theatre West opening October 22, 2022. This world premiere (co-produced in association with New Los Angeles Repertory Company) is directed by Peter Ellenstein. John carved out some time to answer a few of my queries.

DESAPARECIDAS, a musical conceived by Jaime Lozano and Florencia Cuenca will shed light on the reality women still live in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and around the globe. DESAPARECIDAS will have a short engagement at JACK starting December 2nd.

The legendary and Tony Award-winning stage actress/singer Betty Buckley will return to the famed Café Carlyle for five live performances September 27 - October 1, 2022. Buckley will offer an eclectic mix of standards and songs by contemporary songwriters.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present the return of Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf – the acclaimed cellist celebrating her recent album Music of Broadway for Cello and Piano – on Monday, September 19 at 8:30 PM.
