Performances of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bad Cinderella begin tonight, Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Imperial Theatre (249 W 45th Street), with Opening Night taking place on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Bad Cinderella features a score by Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tony Award-winner David Zippel. The single is produced by Brooklyn-based producer and audio engineer, Doug Schadt, and was recorded at his studio in Brooklyn, New York in January 2023.

Linedy Genao

Cinderella

Brooklyn native Linedy Genao is a true Cinderella story. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of Connecticut, she began a career in banking. However, after receiving a message encouraging her to audition for the first open call of Gloria & Emilio Estefan's On Your Feet, her life changed forever. With only high school theater experience, Linedy landed her first Broadway-bound show, On Your Feet, and hasn't stopped since!

Linedy has continued to rise through the ranks, most recently as the Alana/Zoe understudy on Dear Evan Hansen prior to its Broadway closing and on its first national tour. She was also recently named in Variety's "10 Broadway Stars to Watch" list. Additional credits include Passing Through, West Side Story, Havana Music Hall, A Taste of Things to Come, and In the Heights. She is honored to be the first Latina/Dominican-American to originate an Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway-bound musical. Con amor a mi familia, para siempre!

The Stepmother

A three-time Tony Award nominee, Ms. Carmello is thrilled to take on the iconic Stepmother in Bad Cinderella, her 16th Broadway show! Broadway audiences have seen her perform as John Dickinson in the Roundabout revival of 1776; as Mae Tuck in Tuck Everlasting; Mrs. du Maurier in Finding Neverland (Drama Desk nomination); Aimee Semple McPherson in Scandalous (Tony & Drama Desk nominations); Mother Superior in Sister Act; Alice Beineke in The Addams Family (Drama Desk & Outer Critics Circle nominations); Donna in Mamma Mia!; Gabrielle in Lestat (Tony & Drama Desk nominations); Ms. Pennywise in Urinetown; Kate in Kiss Me, Kate; Marguerite in The Scarlet Pimpernel; Lucille Frank in Parade (Tony nomination & Drama Desk Award); Abigail Adams in 1776 (in the 1997 revival); Cordelia in Falsettos; and as Oolie in City of Angels.

Ms. Carmello's Off-Broadway credits include John and Jen, Das Barbecü, I Can Get It for You Wholesale, Hello Again (Obie Award), A Class Act, The Vagina Monologues, Elegies, and Mrs. Lovett in the critically acclaimed Sweeney Todd at the Barrow Street Theatre. Her screen credits include "Dopesick," "Evil," "The Deuce," "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," "The Good Fight," "Madam Secretary," "Smash," "Law and Order: SVU," "Frasier," "Ed," "Indoor Boys" (Indie Series Award), and "Remember W.E.N.N." (SAG Award nomination). She recently toured the U.S. as Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly!, and her concert appearances have taken her across America and Europe, including engagements at Lincoln Center, Town Hall, and Carnegie Hall.

Grace is a performer, writer, and composer. Broadway: Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812. Off-Broadway and Regional: Suffs (The Public), Cyrano (New Group), Alice by Heart (MCC), In the Green (LCT3), Brooklynite (The Vineyard), Row (WTF), Pump Boys and Dinettes (Weston Playhouse). TV: "The First Lady" (Showtime), "The Other Two" (HBO Max). Her original musical In the Green earned her a Richard Rodgers Award for her writing and a Lortel for her performance. Grace McLean & Them Apples performed in the 2015 and 2016 seasons of Lincoln Center's American Songbook, and Grace toured Pakistan and Russia as an artistic ambassador with the US State Department. Writer-in-residence at Lincoln Center, Larson Grant recipient ('21) one of Broadway Women's Fund's Women to Watch ('21), Civilians R&D Group ('19-'20), MacDowell Fellow ('18), Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award ('17). Sami is thrilled to be journeying to Belleville by way of Broadway, where she began her acting career as Baby June in the most recent Broadway revival of Gypsy. Known to many for her role as "Nicky Reagan-Boyle" on the CBS series "Blue Bloods," Gayle has worked in film and television both in front of and behind the camera for nearly 15 years, and most recently starred in and co-produced the Netflix feature Candy Jar. Additional film credits include The Congress, Noah, Vampire Academy, Hateship Loveship, Stolen, and Detachment. Other stage credits include Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical (Broadway), Family Week (MCC) and Oohrah! (Atlantic Theatre Company). Gayle is a proud graduate of Columbia University.

Marie

Morgan is thrilled to make her Broadway debut in ALW's Bad Cinderella. She is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Her work can be seen in "Lost in the West" (Nickelodeon), "Mr. Student Body President" (Amazon), and Netflix. She has also performed with John Mellencamp and was a contestant on the first season of ABC's "Rising Star." She recently shot a supporting role in the upcoming HBO Max feature Sweethearts, just after completing a run as Marian in the Asolo Rep production of the new musical Hood. She is also a singer/songwriter with original music coming to all streaming platforms in 2023! Chloé is so thrilled to be making her Broadway debut in Bad Cinderella! Chloé was most recently seen in Hamilton (And Peggy Tour). Regional credits include In the Heights (Music Theatre Wichita), A Chorus Line (Porchlight Music Theatre), and the regional premiere of Something in the Game, which is now streaming on Broadway on Demand. An alum of Northwestern University, where she double majored in Theatre and Neuroscience, Chloé returned to her alma mater during the pandemic to work as a technician in a neurobiology lab. Chloé is also a voiceover actor and has most recently voiced Mother Flora in season 3 of the children's animated series "Katuri." Many thanks to the BC team, TKO, Tara Rubin, and her family!

J is SO excited to be making his Broadway Debut in Bad Cinderella! A Brooklyn based actor, J's recent credits include Seesaw (David) Off-Broadway: State Fair (Pat Gilbert) at The Rev, Newsies (Davey) at Casa Manana, and Something Rotten at Sacramento Music Circus. J is also a singer/songwriter and his critically acclaimed one man show, Farewell to the West was seen at both Feinstein's/54 Below and The Green Room 42 last year. The show chronicles his pandemic experience of buying a one-way ticket west, living in a van, and finding his way to Yellowstone National Park to teach preschool to the rangers kids. He most recently finished an artist in residency in Gardiner, Montana where he wrote his second show, After the Adventure.
