The Jimmy Awards has just announced this year’s 72 nominees from 36 regions around the US. The national student showcase will be streamed on Thursday, July 15th at 7:30 PM. The show will feature dynamic ensemble and solo performances and will culminate with two students presented with a Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor award with a total of 20 awards and scholarships available to participants.

“Arthur [in CAMELOT] is a man with strong hopes and plans that blow up in his face. SPAMALOT has a much happier ending because Arthur learns that life is too important to be taken seriously. In CAMELOT Arthur doesn’t quite get there.” Award-winning actor Charles Shaughnessy is talking about his experience playing Arthur, King of the Britains, in two different musicals. Shaughnessy is poised to reprise his role as the monarch in the Ogunquit Playhouse’s SPAMALOT, which opens at the theatre’s new Leary Pavilion on June 16 and runs through July 10, 2021. He first appeared there in the Monty Python musical comedy in 2011 and also played Arthur in Lerner and Loewe’s CAMELOT at North Shore Music Theatre in 2005.

The series will feature the return of Solea Pfeiffer (the Globe's Almost Famous, national tour of Hamilton), Tony Award nominee Carmen Cusack (Bright Star at the Globe and on Broadway, Broadway's upcoming Flying Over Sunset), and Eden Espinosa (the Globe's Rain, Broadway's Wicked and Rent) to the Globe.

Produced by Live Nation, the North American tour – which will run throughout September (kicking off on September 8th in Reading, PA) and November (concluding on November 5th in Hamilton, Ontario), will feature a variety of special effects, which will undoubtedly enhance the might of Priest’s metal.

Producer Jeffrey Seller and Broadway in Hollywood announced today that HAMILTON will begin performances at Hollywood Pantages Theatre on August 17, 2021. Commencement of these performances will officially mark the end of what will be a 17-month intermission - which began on the production’s original start date, March 12, 2020.
