The award-winning New London Barn Playhouse has announced the line-up for their 2019 Summer Season. The 87th Season is jam-packed with Broadway hits, and when the Barn opens for the season in June they'll be continuing a legacy of award-winning theater that audiences have come to expect and love.

The innovative educational program that debuted at HAMILTON on Broadway will continue in Charlotte on Thursday, November 1 when over 2,000 students and teachers from 22 high schools attend the matinee performance of the musical at the Belk Theater.

It is nothing short of a global phenomenon. First came the smash Broadway and West End musical, then the 1978 hit motion picture. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the cinema release, the world's favourite musical is returning to London for a strictly limited time!

Opera Pomme Rouge, directed by Etsuko Anna Tsuri, will present The Diary of Anne Frank from 1st to 4th November 2018 at The Crown Theater at the Producers Club (358 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036). It's just two minute walk from Times Square, New York. Kate Fruchterman, a classical soprano based in New York City, will perform the title role.

Toronto (October 9, 2018) - Back by popular demand, The Kinsey Sicks, America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, will bring their critically-acclaimed show, Things You Shouldn't Say, to Toronto on November 1.

The Cher Show has announced it will hold a digital lottery! Manoa Valley Theatre continues its momentous 50th anniversary play season with the world premiere of Shipment Day, by Hawaii-born playwright, Lorenzo DeStefano. The play, of which an earlier version received the 'Best Play' award in Playbuilders of Hawaii's 2016 New Works Festival, is set in Honolulu between 1934 and 1937, dramatizing the traumatic early life experiences of DeStefano's Portuguese cousin, the well-known leprosy activist Olivia Robello Breitha. It chronicles Olivia's diagnosis with the condition at 18, her two-and-a-half-year confinement at Kalihi Hospital, to the day before her shipment to Kalaupapa, the Hansen's Disease settlement on Molokai. As Hawaii State Department of Health parolee #3306, Olivia would spend the next seventy years of her life, until her death in 2006 at the age of 90, at Kalaupapa.

Bristol Old Vic today went on sale with its Winter/Spring 2019 programme, launching a new season of inspiring, cutting-edge and award-winning theatre, set to take Bristol by storm following its ground-breaking Year of Change.

High Society has a chequered past as a stage show; even Richard Eyre failed at adapting Cole Porter's 1956 film. However, the last outing in 2015 at The Old Vic sparkled under Maria Friedman's direction and now the amateur theatre company BROS takes on the challenge at Richmond theatre.

Nebraska Wesleyan University's gender blind production of JULIUS CAESAR is running for one more weekend. It is yet another quality production by the NWU theatre department. I am constantly impressed with their vision, their implementation, and their overall excellence. These actors are being trained well in their art. The performance is powerful...a word too weak in its description.

dick clark productions announced today that Ryan Coogler's Black Panther will receive this year's “Hollywood Film Award,” and Pixar Animation Studios' Incredibles 2 will receive the “Hollywood Animation Award” at the 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards,” taking place on Sunday, November 4 at The Beverly Hilton. Both films received wide critical acclaim and broke box office records this year. Black Panther became a cultural phenomenon that has broken boundaries and created a movement, gracing the cover of Time Magazine. Black Panther had the highest grossing non-sequel opening weekend of all time, showing that diversity and representation in front of and behind the camera can equal global box-office success. Incredibles 2 marked the biggest opening weekend in history for an animated film, grossing more than $1.2 billion globally to date and garnering widespread critical acclaim. Two-time Oscar winner writer/director Brad Bird's follow up to 2004's Oscar-winning The Incredibles expands upon the original's daring concept of a family of Supers who struggle against society's fickle embrace while tasked with stopping a devious plot to undermine the public's belief and faith in government and national security. Next Week, Bilston Operatic Company present THE FULL MONTY at Wolverhampton Grand from 6 - 10 November. Inspired by the hugely successful national cancer awareness campaign by The Real Full Monty broadcast on TV earlier this year, members of Bilston Operatic Company have agreed to raise awareness for three local charities that support those currently dealing with the outcomes of cancer.

"Mr. Burns: a Post-Electric Play," written by Anne Washburn and directed by Kyle Cooper, features a group of survivors after the collapse of civilization. The survivors surround a campfire and reminisce about the plot of an episode of "The Simpsons" television show titled "Cape Feare." The production runs November 9-December 2, 2018 in the Young Theatre on campus with Musical Direction by Craig Shields and Choreography by Angeline Mirenda.

Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of The Nap, written by Olivier Award nominee Richard Bean (One Man, Two Guvnors) and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes; Rabbit Hole; Proof) is playing its final two weeks of performances. The play must close on Sunday, November 11th at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

The musical is a send-up of the cult classic movie and other sci-fi films and TV shows of the 1950s, melded with plot elements from "The Tempest" along with dialogue bits from multiple Shakespeare plays. That was part of the fun for me, catching so many Shakespearean quotes perfectly placed in the dialogue of Bob Carlton's musical set on a spaceship sometime in the future, featuring a galaxy of 1950's and 1960's rock and roll classics including "Wipeout," "Good Vibrations," "Great Balls of Fire," "All Shook Up," "Monster Mash" and "We Gotta Get Out of this Place." And what an outrageously fabulous band under the musical direction of Trevor Wheetman and Omar D. Brancato, both of whom rocked the house on guitars while believably playing Ensign crew members onstage.

A new exhibition in Morristown explores 300 years of race relation in New Jersey through the lens of Morris County, New Jersey. This is the first comprehensive exhibition to trace the sometimes fraught history of the relationship between blacks and whites in Morris County. It traces early days of slavery to visits from civil rights pioneers including Frederick Douglas, Booker T. Washington, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The exhibition, The Ties That Bind: How Race Relations Shapes Morris County and New Jersey, 1688-2018, asks visitors to take a hard look at the history of race relations in the past and consider ways of moving forward in the current climate of racial tension in America.

The musical for the spring 2019 at Östgota Teatern will be the rock musical Rocky Horror Show. The show opened 1973 at Royal Court Theatre in London. This will be the first time it is played at Östgota Teatern.

Ben Vereen is one of the most accomplished and versatile entertainers. From starring in Broadway shows such asWicked,Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, to winning the Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award for 'Best Actor in a Musical' for his role in Pippin, Mr. Vereen is a stage legend. Not a stranger to the screen, Vereen is currently filming a recurring role in the FOX series STAR, created by Lee Daniels. He recently finished filming the new TV series MAGNUM P.I for CBS. Ben is also working on a new Broadway show, 'Reflections.'

From open calls to callbacks, auditioning is a major part of the theatre, film, and television industries. For professional actors and performers, auditioning IS their job. Booking a show or commercial is usually a short-term gig, so looking for work is a constant cycle.

Just in time for Halloween, Blackfriars Theatre is bringing Rochester the pinnacle leather-clad cult classic, possibly the only musical/science fiction/ horror/comedy in the theatre annals. Prepare to do the Time Warp, because The Rocky Horror Show has landed!

Go inside the rehearsal of the first international production of the Broadway smash musical 'Waitress,' which stars Joanna Ampil (Jenna), Becky (Bituin Escalante), and Maronne Cruz (Dawn). The show plays at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, in Makati City from November 9 until December 2, 2018.

From the Emmy-winning team behind the mega-hit television series, 'Friends,' comes Rapunzel. A familiar tale with a fantastic new spin, it has all of the charm that you'd expect from the minds that have been making the world laugh non-stop for more than two decades.  Forced to live alone in a tower with nothing but her hair and her witch (literally) of a 'mother,' Rapunzel's sixteenth birthday has come, meaning that she'll be able to see the outside world for the first time, just as her 'mother' promised. Scared to let her go, though, the witch reneges. Lucky for Rapunzel a young Prince named Brian happens across her tower and calls out to her, as he's seen the witch do: 'Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair!' Before the Prince and Rapunzel have their inevitable 'happily ever after,' though, they're going to have to face the wrath of the witch and a few other hilarious obstacles.

The 2008 song by the Killers 'Are we human or are we dancer' rings true for professional dancers as it transcends just being a career. To make it as a professional dancer you have to dedicate years of your life and lots of money to achieve the peak level of fitness required to be a 'professional'. Not to mention the networking, auditioning, knockbacks and receiving more noes than 'yeses'.

Spoolie Girl, now playing at the Actors Temple Theatre, is taglined as "a fractured rock fairytale" and while I'm not quite sure what the fractured part means, the other two descriptors definitely fit the bill.

The producers of the critically-acclaimed Damaged Furniture are launching a $100,000 Kickstarter Campaign to bring the production and original cast from L.A. to Off Broadway.  The play deals with the trajectory of LA actor Doug Elling, who, after a shocking furniture accident that claims the life of his Uncle Max, must work in his family business in Brooklyn where he is not only confronted with his dysfunctional family, but what lead him to become an actor in the first place.
