Florida Repertory Theatre has announced the opening of the Tony Award-winning best musical, 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder,' to continue its 22nd season in the Fort Myers River District. Playing February 14 to March 4 in the Historic Arcade Theatre, the run includes four nearly sold-out preview performances February 11-13.

Mid-January in New York City does not appear to be a particularly romantic or momentous time of year for The Big Apple. Greenway Arts Alliance (Whitney Weston and Pierson Blaetz, Co-Founders and Co-Artistic Directors) announced today that they have extended performances through December 29 for the Tony Award-winning a?oeBest Playa??a?" THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME by Simon Stephens. Based on award-winning writer Mark Haddon's novel of the same name, the play is directed by Kate Jopson (Circle X Theatre's Hole in the Sky and La Jolla Playhouse's A Willow Grows Aslant). Cleveland Play House (CPH), takes audiences on a journey through grief, healing, falling in love, and (re)discovering all that life has to offer in Every Brilliant Thing, written by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe. Performances run from November 23rd - December 22nd in the Helen Theatre at Playhouse Square. A Christmas Carol is now in previews on Broadway! The holiday masterpiece, A Christmas Carol, comes to Broadway this holiday season for eight weeks only following critically acclaimed runs at London's Old Vic. Two visionary talents, playwright Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and director Matthew Warchus (Matilda), offer a magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens' classic story, starring Campbell Scott ('House of Cards,' Dying Young) as Ebenezer Scrooge. Beginning previews on Thursday, November 7 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street), with the opening night set for Wednesday, November 20, A Christmas Carol will play a strictly limited engagement through Sunday, January 5, 2020 only.

a?oeJudy's Scary Little Christmasa?? is an outrageous spoof of holiday TV specials from yesteryear and a look behind the scenes at the stars they featured.  Bing Crosby, Ethel Merman and Liberace all join Judy Garland to ring in the holidays, while cameos of Joan Crawford, Richard Nixon and Lillian Hellman all add spice to the punch.  Eight musical numbers performed by a cast of 14 make this clever parody an affectionate look back at the Golden Age of Television and a delightful holiday show for today's audiences.

New York's leading LGBTQ film festival, NewFest, has announced the full lineup of their 31st annual celebration of the year's best LGBTQ films from around the world. As announced earlier this week, the festival will kick off the festival's 31st edition with the New York premiere of Mike Doyle's Manhattan-set ensemble rom-com SELL BY, featuring an eclectic cast including Scott Evans (Netflix's “Grace and Frankie”), Kate Walsh (ABC's “Grey's Anatomy”), Academy Award-nominee and Emmy Award-winner Patricia Clarkson, Michelle Buteau (Netflix's “Tales of the City”) and Augustus Prew (HIGH-RISE), and will close the festival with the New York premiere of Rodrigo Bellott's award-winning film TU ME MANQUES, which was recently announced as Bolivia's submission for Best International Feature Film selection for the 2019 Academy Awards.

Due to technical issues (or spy interference) the Off Broadway premiere of I Spy A Spy, a new (declassified) musical comedy, with book and lyrics by Jamie Jackson and book & music by SoHee Youn, directed and choreographed by Bill Castellino (Cagney, Desperate Measures) with musical direction by Dan Pardo (Amazing Grace) will now begin its limited engagement (through September 21) at The Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Saturday, July 6th at 8pm. The show will have its official opening on Thursday, July 18th at 7pm.
