The Fabulous Fox, The Muny and The Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation have announced the 41 participating schools for the 2019-2020 St. Louis High School Musical Theatre Awards season (SLHSMTA). The year-long adjudicating process kicks-off with Visitation Academy's Once Upon a Mattress, October 10-12 and continues through late April of next year. In early May of 2020, nominees will be announced in 14 categories, including Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Lead Actress and Actor and a new category, The Carol B. Loeb Production Enhancement Award. Modeled on The Tony Awards, the 2019-2020 SLHSMTA season will culminate with an awards ceremony on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 4 p.m. at The Fabulous Fox Theatre with the Outstanding Lead Actress and Actor advancing to compete in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (Jimmy Awards) in New York. Carol B. Loeb will serve as presenting sponsor with KTVI FOX2 and KPLR 11 partnering as media sponsors once again.

The iconic Alhambra Theatre & Dining will open its 52nd season on January 9, 2020 with a four-week run of the Broadway hit, Love Letters. The Alhambra announced its 2020 season line up in early September to its current season subscribers, what the Alhambra refers to as Season Partners. There are more than 4,000 such fans of the Alhambra and the 2020 release marked a new record for renewals. Beginning Tuesday, September 30, 2019, the proverbial 'ticket windows' will open to the general public, giving access to Season Partnerships and single-show purchasing.

BroadwayWorld has learned that real-life married couple Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker will come to Broadway in Neil Simon's Plaza Suite following an out of town run at Boston's Colonial Theatre - where the 1968 production also originated, before a 17 week run on Broadway at the Hudson Theatre with previews set to being in March.
