The region's top bacon focused food truck is going brick and mortar! Owner and Chef Justin Coleman has announced that Bake'N Bacon will open a new bacon themed restaurant in South Philly this winter.

Part gig, part piano lesson, part journey through Empire, Elephant, a powerful new play from singer, songwriter, actress, and composer Anoushka Lucas who was recently celebrated in the role of Laurey in Oklahoma! at the Young Vic, opens at the Bush Theatre on 24 October (press night 25 October).  A Bush commission, Elephant first appeared as part of the Bush's Protest series of videos in 2020, a response to the murder of George Floyd.

54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, will present Show Me Eternity on November 9, 9:30 pm. Which love stories are allowed to be told? Show Me Eternity, a new musical about everlasting love and the erasure of queer identity, tells a story hidden for over a century: the romance between Emily Dickinson and Sue Gilbert.

Theatres are no strangers to ghosts. Sadly, the ghost of Herschel Fink will haunt for years to come.

Commissioned by Southwark Council, Linda Wilkinson writes a historically accurate account laden with fiction to explore the strings attached to progress. Author Mary Shelley and human rights activist Octavia Hill coexist in this tonally odd piece, playing ghosts in each other’s lives.

Nicky Jam (Bad Boys for Life) is set to star in the project, as well as produce as through La Industria, Inc., which he founded Brooks McLaren and D.J. Cotrona are attached to pen the screenplay. The two have already appeared on the famed Black List for their action-fueled script Fight or Flight.

Originally from Perth, Australia, Coenen’s bond with music started at just four years old when her mother put her in piano lessons. It was just a few years later that she picked up the electric bass, ordaining it her instrument of choice. Coenen then attended high school for performing arts, honing her vocal talent by singing in choirs.

Legendary rocker Sting took a break from stadiums to bring his My Songs tour to the more intimate Filene Center at Wolf Trap on Saturday night (for the second of three sold-out shows), and he put on the perfect summertime show.

These questions and more are the thoughts that fill my mind upon exiting the theatre following the opening night of Studio Grand Central’s Second Season opener Something Clean by Selina Fillinger. Fillinger whose more recent work Potus is a smashing success on Broadway; penned this three-hander piece about a grieving mother who also is struggling with love and culpability. Her own struggle with intimacy is backlogged by trauma and has come to a crippling head not just on her inner self but on her marriage as well.

The music of the late John Denver is like an old friend, outlasting trends and standing the test of time.  Join acclaimed performer Jim Curry at Spencer Theater on Saturday, August 20 at 8 p.m. for this tribute to the music of one of the most beloved singer/songwriters ever to grace the stage.
