Three-time Grammy Award winner and iconic songwriter-performer Jimmy Webb will be honored at the 37th Annual Bistro Awards where he will be receiving the ASCAP–Bob Harrington Lifetime Achievement Award, the Bistro Awards’ highest honor, for musical and storytelling accomplishments over his five decades-plus career.

In honor of Women’s History Month, the 7th Annual W.H.A.M. Festival of Manhattan will present Baggage From BaghDAD, a new solo play about the power of family and perseverance amid a harrowing past.

The Hangar Theatre has announced the first ever Hangar Flight Test, a series of concert stagings of original musicals in development.  The 2022 series will consist of two workshop productions which Hangar audiences will be among the first to experience.  Writers and artistic teams will invite audiences to give feedback and become part of the development process as they prepare their scripts and scores for full scale production.

Smokey Stevens, one of Broadway's great musical comedy performers, has adapted his autobiographical novel, 'I Just Want to Tell Somebody: The Autobiography of Ronald Smokey Stevens,' into a one-man, two character theater production.

CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE ‘90S MUSICAL returns to Los Angeles for a one-nighter, LIVE at and streaming from the Bourbon Room December 19, 2021. With the plot of the 1999 cult hit Cruel Intentions as their starting point, the cast of powerhouse singers will sing the characters played in the film by Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillipe and others using songs that the characters would have sung in the movie, if it were a musical. Based on Harold Gray's comic strip titled Little Orphan Annie, this musical tells the story of a little orphan with equal measures of pluck and positivity who charms everyone's hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in New York City in the year 1933.
