A total of 216 music teachers from 199 cities have been announced as quarterfinalists for the Music Educator Award presented by the Recording Academy® and GRAMMY Museum®. Hartford Stage will open its 2019/2020 season with Quixote Nuevo, an inspired, Tejano music-filled, contemporary reimagining of the Miguel de Cervantes classic Don Quixote, by award-winning playwright Octavio Solis. Performances run  through Sunday, October 13.

Germany's hottest rock band The New Roses start their 11-date UK Headline Tour in November and December at the Carlisle Brickyard on Wednesday 21st November. The is presented by Shock City Productions in association with Brainstorm Music Marketing AG. Special guests on the tour are British hard rock band DEPARTED, except for the shows in Carlisle (Heartbreak Remedy), Newcastle (Saints Of Arcadia) and Southampton (Voodoo Vegas), and The Brink.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Head Over Heels will conclude its Broadway run today, January 6, after 188 regular performances and 37 previews. The new musical opened at the Hudson Theatre on July 26th.

As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this month, the acclaimed revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic musical Carousel, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien and choreographed by 2018 Tony Award winner Justin Peck, will play its final Broadway performance at the Imperial Theatre on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Preview performances began on Wednesday, February 28 and Carousel officially opened on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
