Rose Theatre Kingston presents its Christmas show, Cinderella The Midnight Princess, which opens tonight, 30 November.

First Folio Theatre (Mayslake Peabody Estate, 31st St. & Rt. 83) presents the acclaimed play UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL, directed by Jeff Award nominee Alison C. Vesely, previewing March 27, opening March 30 and running through April 28, 2013. The production stars Kristine Thatcher, a member of the 2001 Tony Award-winning Victory Gardens Playwrights Ensemble, where her play Voice of Good Hope premiered and was nominated for the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Work in 2000. Thatcher most recently appeared as Terri in Jeffrey Sweet's new play Immoral Imperatives. Prior to that, she appeared in First Folio Theatre's production of Macbeth. Other credits include 'Hannah Jarvis' in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia at the Goodman Theatre, 'Candida' in George Bernard Shaw's Candida at Writers' Theatre, and 'Regan' in King Lear and 'Kate' in Taming of the Shrew at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

According to Deadline.com, The CW's medical drama 'Emily Owens, M.D.' starring Mamie Gummer, has been cancelled.

Michael Weston joins Center Theatre Group's production of the Tony-nominated "Other Desert Cities" by Jon Robin Baitz. Weston joins the previously announced Jeannie Berlin, Robert Foxworth, Robin Weigert and JoBeth Williams. The Public Theater announced today that it will extend the acclaimed new production The Twenty-Seventh Man an additional week, through Sunday, December 16. Written by Nathan Englander and directed by Barry Edelstein, The Twenty-Seventh Man officially opened on Sunday, November 18 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, December 9.

Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Beth Henley's 100-proof comedy THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST, starring film and television actress Amber Tamblyn and directed by Tony Award winner Judith Ivey, will bow on Broadway in the spring of 2013. THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST marks Ms. Tamblyn's Broadway debut and Ms. Ivey's Broadway debut as director, and is produced by HOP Theatricals. Broadway theater and dates to be announced.

The newest addition to Arcadia Publishing's popular Images of America series is RUTHERFORD from local author William Neumann. The book boasts more than 200 vintage images, the majority of which were donated from private collections of local residents.

Lindsay Posner returns to the Almeida to direct Rebecca Lenkiewicz' new stage adaptation of Henry James' The Turn of the Screw from 18 January - 16 March 2013, with press night on 24 January. The cast comprises Caroline Bartleet (a woman), Laurence Belcher (Miles), Eoin Geoghegan (a man), Gemma Jones (Mrs. Grose), Anna Madeley (The Governess), Orlando Wells (Sackville) and Isabella Blake, Emilia Jones and Lucy Morton who will alternate the role of Flora. The 2012 Hollywood Christmas Parade will be held in the streets of Hollywood, CA this Sunday, November 25, 2012, kicking off with a Pre-Parade Spectacular Show from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., followed by the parade proper from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.

On November 26th at 9:30pm, BroadwayUnderstudies.com has once again invited some of Broadway's most talented understudies to the stage of the Laurie Beechman Theatre to share their rare talent-the ability to perform at a second's notice. They'll be thrown into the fire in 'Half Hour 2: A Last Minute Concert,' a show where even they don't know what they'll be singing before they step up to the microphone. The audience will get to vote on what song each performer will sing.

However, the award-winning theatre company still must raise $500,000 by year's end to continue serving the region.

The Flea Theater presents the World Premiere of THE VANDAL by Hamish Linklater. Deadline reports that Grace Gummer is set to appear in a multi-episode story arc on the second season of HBO's THE NEWSROOM. The actress will portray 'Hallie Shea', described as 'an embedded reporter covering the Mitt Romney campaign.'
