Following its record-breaking, sold-out world premiere at American Repertory Theater last summer, Jagged Little Pill the musical celebrates opening night tonight, December 5, at the Broadhurst Theatre.

Geffen Playhouse will present Man of God as part of its 2019/2020 season lineup, it was announced today, written by Anna Moench (Mothers, Birds of North America) and directed by Maggie Burrows (Spacebar, Damsels). Man of God replaces Nightfall in the Geffen Playhouse 2019/2020 season lineup.

So many of us remember exactly where we were when we first heard Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill. I tapped into the excitement experienced by my ten-year-old self gleefully ripping the shrink wrap off and popping the CD into his portable Aiwa CD Player when downloading my review copy of JAGGED LITTLE PILL (Original Broadway Cast Recording). Sadly, I was met by streams of disappointment and infuriating rage listening to it.

This winter, Austin's Different Stages theatre company takes on one of the most famous novels of the 19th century: FRANKENSTEIN by Mary Shelley. Different Stages performs Patrick Sanford's 2-act adaptation of the novel, showing at the Vortex Repertory Theatre.

Set in two acts, the show is filled with plenty of action, magic, and words of wisdom a?" mostly delivered by the two-man puppet Aslan.

Redhouse continues its stellar 2019 season with the Tony Award-Winning play, God of Carnage co-starring two Broadway veterans Jeremy Kushnier and Jennifer Cody who both will make their Redhouse MainStage debuts. The show, will be directed by Redhouse Artistic Director, Tony Nominated actor and Director Hunter Foster, who is coming off his directorial debut at Redhouse of the smash hit RENT. 'This show portrays a very realistic and sometimes uncomfortable view of parenting and manages to do it in a very fast-paced and comedic way'. The show opened at Redhouse November 7th with performances running through November 17th.

Yara Arts Group will offer the American debut of its new work 'Opera GAZ,' December 19, 20 and 22 at La MaMa, 66 East 4th Street. This opera was created by director Virlana Tkacz, who heads Yara Arts Group in New York, and the composers Roman Grygoriv and Illia Razumeiko. It features the performers of Nova Opera in Kyiv. Live performances and traditional instruments are combined with electronic music to present the story of an explosion at a futuristic gas factory that produces all the energy for the industrial world. The visually striking production is sung in English, Ukrainian and German but is universally accessible.

Take Me Out has found its full Broadway cast! Second Stage Theater has announced full casting for the Broadway production of Richard Greenberg's Tony Award-winning play, Take Me Out. Julian Cihi, Hiram Delgado, Brandon J. Dirden, Will Harrison, Carl Lundstedt, Ken Marks, Michael Oberholtzer, and Joél Pérez will join previously announced stars Patrick J. Adams, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jesse Williams. Directed by Scott Ellis, Take Me Out will begin previews April 2, 2020 and officially open on April 23, 2020 at Second Stage's Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street).

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) (Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker) announced today a one-week final extension for the World Premiere of Sing Street, a new musical based on the motion picture written and directed by John Carney (Once, Begin Again). Sing Street features a book by Tony Award winner & NYTW Usual Suspect Enda Walsh (Once, Lazarus), music and lyrics by Gary Clark (frontman of Danny Wilson) & Carney, direction by Tony Award winner & NYTW Usual Suspect Rebecca Taichman (Indecent) and choreography by Obie Award winner Sonya Tayeh (Hundred Days).

Stan Lee's Kids Universe (SLKU), the family-friendly children's imprint from the late comic legend Stan Lee, comprised of his company Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment and 1821 Media, working with FTD Publishing, are preparing to launch Lee's first posthumous children's book ALLIES OF THE AMAZON via Amazon.com in Brazil on November 12, 2019. The book will be available in digital and print editions.

Boston's indie/emo bridge-builders Piebald have announced their new EP – Piebald Presents To You, A Musical Christmas Adventure – due out this Friday, November 15th via Photo Finish Records. The band wrote and recorded all three tracks – “(All I Want For Christmas) Is To Rage With My Friends,” “The Rebellion Of Winter,” and “Do Good Stuff” – over a long weekend in September with producer Doug Batchelder in North Reading, Massachusetts, all while building multiple sets to shoot the accompanying artwork. The band has also dropped the festivity-filled lyric video for “(All I Want For Christmas) Is To Rage With My Friends” today – watch below!

Shakespeare & Company has announced its Shakespeare lineup for the 2020 summer season. Under the direction of Artistic Director Allyn Burrows and Managing Director Adam Davis, the season will include three Shakespeare plays: King Lear directed by Nicole Ricciardi featuring the Drama Desk and Emmy Award-winning actor Christopher Lloyd (Taxi, Back to the Future trilogy) in the title role, Much Ado About Nothing directed by Kelly Galvin, and The Comedy of Errors directed by Michael F. Toomey. Season FLEXpasses are now on sale. Additionally, the Company has announced their annual Summer Gala will be held on Saturday, June 27th.

Sundance Institute's Theatre Program will support three ambitious new works for the stage, and their four women creators, at this year's two-week Theatre Lab at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). The Lab, which runs from November 10 to November 24th, will feature the concentrated and abundant time and resources, including individual casting from a dedicated acting company and daily rehearsals, that has long been a signature of Sundance's Labs.

Michael Longoria has released a sultry music video for 'Kiss Me (Like They Do In The Movies)', an original song written by Michael Longoria and arranged by James Dobinson. The music video is directed by Matt Simpkins and stars Longoria and Anthony Crouchelli. 'Kiss Me (Like They Do In The Movies)' is the first single from Longoria's new studio album, Michael Longoria: Like They Do In The Movies, available now at www.BroadwayRecords.com, www.Amazon.com, in stores and across digital platforms.
