'Voter Suppression in America' will be the topic of keynote speaker Dr. Carol Anderson, historian, educator, and New York Times bestselling author, at the 14th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Sunday, January 19, at 3 p.m., at Westport Country Playhouse. The event is free-of-charge and open to the public. However, advance registration is recommended through the Playhouse box office at 203-227-4177 or by email at rsvp@westportplayhouse.org. Seating is general admission (unreserved).

YouTube Announces Coachella Documentary

In celebration of the music festival's 20th anniversary, YouTube Originals today announced it is partnering with Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival for a feature-length documentary “Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert” set to premiere March 31. The announcement comes on the heels of Coachella's official 2020 lineup and with news that YouTube is back as the exclusive live stream partner for both weekends of the festival.

Theatre503 Announces 2020 Programming

Artistic Director Lisa Spirling today announces an entire year of programming for 2020 at the home of new writers, including the news that all four remaining finalists of the 2018 Theatre503 International Playwriting Award will be staged at the venue by November 2020. This follows on from the success of Award winner Out of Sorts by Danusia Samal premiering in October 2019. In February, the search for the best debut and emerging writers in the world will begin again as the 2020 Theatre503 International Playwriting Award opens for submissions.

Sadly, I was met by streams of disappointment and infuriating rage listening to it.
