Complete casting and creative team has been announced for Manhattan Concert Productions' concert performance of Tony Award-nominated musical The Scarlet Pimpernel, on February 18, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center. Gabriel Barre (Stage Director) and Jason Howland (Music Director) reunite to lead the cast and creative team in this concert performance of The Scarlet Pimpernel. On Saturday, January 19, 2019, the Brooklyn Music School (BMS)community came together at the historic Brooklyn Music School Playhouse Theater (126 Saint Felix Street, Brooklyn, NY) to honor and pay tribute to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the 17th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Tribute Concert. This week, Broadway Dreams and The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization hosted the 70th Anniversary gala concert celebration of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award-winning musical triumph, South Pacific. 

Broadway Dreams and The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization announced today that two-time Grammy Award-winner Isabel Leonard, Broadway vet Eden Espinosa, and Tony Award nominee Erin Dilly will join the cast of the previously announced 70th Anniversary gala concert celebration of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award-winning musical triumph, South Pacific. The evening will take place on Monday, December 10, 2018 at The St. Regis New York (2 E 55th Street) and will serve as a fundraiser for Broadway Dreams, a not-for-profit performing arts training organization with global reach. Tickets for the event start at $1,000 and can be purchased at broadwaydreams.org/event-tickets.

The American Theatre Wing announced today that its annual Gala, which honored newly minted EGOT recipient Andrew Lloyd Webber last night at Cipriani 42nd Street, raised a record breaking total of $1,652,502 in support of the Wing's programs and the Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative Legacy Fund, breaking all previous records.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - has announced that WAYNE BRADY will join "THE SOUL SESSION," the monthly event created and hosted by Broadway's KYLE TAYLOR PARKER, as a special musical guest on Sunday, April 22 at 9:30 PM. "THE SOUL SESSION" is an evening of showtunes and pop standards reimagined into stirring R&B, jazz and soul arrangements that feature music from shows like Hairspray, West Side Story, The Color Purple, and more. The show is directed by Nathan Peck with Music Direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes. The April edition will also feature Christiani Pitts (A Bronx Tale) as special guest.
