Saturday night, GLEE creator Ryan Murphy was honored by the Family Equality Council at a special event in Los Angeles for 'contributing to presenting LGBTQ families and people' on the show.

Tonight's episode of GLEE -- titled 'Transitioning' -- saw the return of Alex Newell's character 'Unique,' who shows up at McKinley High to support Coach Beiste, now Sheldon, who has recently come out as transgender. After multiple sold out shows in NY, musical pop songwriter Joey Contreras takes on L.A. for his West Coast concert debut on February 10th. Billed as Joey Contreras and Friends, the Rockwell: Table and Stage concert will feature songs from his ?rst album, Love Me, Love Me Not as well as offer a sneak peak of his upcoming record, Young Kind of Love. Audiences of all ages will be able to relate to the stories and adventures of Joey's emotionally-driven and musically infectious tunes.

All Nite Soul, the Jazz Ministry at Saint Peter's will honor pianist Barry Harris and vocalist Sheila Jordan. All Nite Soul begins on Sunday, October 13 at 5 PM with Jazz Vespersand pianist/organist Sarah McLawler and Les Jazz Femmes, and goes into full swing at 7 PM with a concert of over 80 musicians honoring Barry Harris (pianist) and Sheila Jordan (vocalist), National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters who began their musical careers in Detroit, Michigan.

Ryan Murphy Tweeted the news today that American Idol alum Adam Lambert will be joining the cast of GLEE for the series fifth season on FOX. No word yet on whether his role will be as a series regular, in a recurring capacity, or as a guest star.

ALEX NEWELL, one of the newest cast members of FOX's groundbreaking mega-hit series, 'Glee,' has been added to the cast of the 29th Annual Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event (S.T.A.G.E.) 'Broadway, My Way,' being held on Saturday, April 6th at the historic Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. David Galligan directs for the 29th time with John McDaniel returning as Musical Director.
