 Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, has expanded the Bauer Boucher Award to offer two awards a?" one to a budding student playwright and one to an emerging alumni playwright. The expansion of the award is made possible as part of a major five-year sustaining gift from longtime Premiere Stages donors W. John Bauer and Nancy Boucher. In addition to a cash prize of $1000 or $2000, the 2020 winners also received a professional public reading of their play as performed by professional equity actors, followed by a Q & A with the playwright, audience, and the producing artistic director of Premiere Stages, John J. Wooten, who directed both readings.

West End stars Luke Bayer and Millie O'Connell are today announced to head the cast of Soho Cinders at Charing Cross Theatre.

Soho Cinders, with Music by George Stiles and Lyrics by Anthony Drewe (the multi award-winning writers of the Olivier award-winning National Theatre hit Honk!, who also created a new score for the international smash-hit Cameron Mackintosh/Disney production of Mary Poppins) with Book by Anthony Drewe and Elliot Davis, will run nine weeks at London's Charing Cross Theatre from Thursday 24 October to Saturday 21 December, 2019.

AMC Networks has viewers covered this holiday season as the second annual “Best Christmas Ever,” returns with its largest slate of holiday programming to-date featuring over 60 films and specials airing all day, every day, and this year, expands to all five of AMC Networks. Beginning Monday, November 25 through Christmas Day, the monthlong programming event will offer up more than 700 hours of holiday-themed movies, specials and family favorite films. The fourth annual OHANA FESTIVAL--the three-day festival curated by Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder--has expanded the Storytellers Cove at the festival set for Friday, September 27-Sunday, September 29 on the beautiful Doheny State Beachin Dana Point, CA. British novelist Roald Dahl possessed that rare quality in an author of children's books: the ability to captivate the imaginations of his young readers and simultaneously entertain their parents. His distinctive witty prose, dark humor, and eccentric characters are beloved worldwide: a daunting precedent for the Royal Shakespeare Company when it premiered the musical adaptation of MATILDA in 2010, with a book by Dennis Kelly and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin. Chris Isaacson Presents presented Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp: Acoustically Speaking at Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood. Acoustically Speaking features two Broadway favorites and original stars of Rent coming together to celebrate music, memories, and their 20-year friendship.

Numi Opera and its inaugural production -- Alexander Von Zemlinsky's Der Zwerg based on a story by Oscar Wilde -- is announced. Directed by Numi Opera Executive Director Gail R. Gordon with musical direction by Christopher Luthi, the rarely performed opera will have two performances on Thursday, May 30 at 7:30pm and Sunday, June 2 at 2:00pm at The Theatre at Ace Hotel, located at 929 South Broadway in downtown Los Angeles.
