Broadway/San Diego Adds POTTED POTTER and PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION to Lineup

Broadway/San Diego ~ A Nederlander Presentation is taking audiences on an amazing theatrical journey with their upcoming 2013-2014 season, packed with Tony Award Winning, world-class productions of musicals presented at The San Diego Civic Theatre -and they have just added a few more! From the creators of "South Park" and winner of nine Tony Awards, THE BOOK OF MORMON will play a limited two-week engagement May 27-June 8, 2014. The New York Times calls it "the best musical of this century" and Entertainment Weekly says it's "the funniest musical of all time.'

The Old Globe presented a one-night-only Jeff Buckley Tribute Concert on August 19, and BroadwayWorld has photos of the musicians onstage below! The concert, which featured several prominent local artists covering the songs of the legendary musician, coincides with the Globe's upcoming production of The Last Goodbye, a fusion of Buckley's music with Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The Jeff Buckley Tribute Concert, benefitting the Globe's student Shakespeare programs, took place in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre.

Today, Wells Fargo Center for the Arts announced six additional shows to be presented in the newly renovated Ruth Finley Person Theater (50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa) as part of their 2013-14 season. The new performances added to the already diverse season include Bryan Adams: Bare Bones Tour (Thursday, October 17), Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell with Richard Thompson (Saturday, November 2), An Evening with Foreigner (Thursday, November 8), So You Think You Can Dance Live! (Thursday, November 21), The Brian Setzer Orchestra: Christmas Rocks 10th Anniversary Tour! (Thursday, December 26), and Aimee Mann & Billy Collins: An Evening of Acoustic Music and Spoken Word (Friday, April 18). The Tempest, the 17th Annual FREE Coronado Shakespeare production, opens Friday, August 30 at the Coronado playhouse. Keith Anderson, founder of the Coronado FREE Shakespeare, directs and Mary Anderson produces the show which runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 2 PM through September 22.
