This Audition Prep Workshop will prepare you for your upcoming LYT and College Auditions. By having a real one-on-one evaluation of your choices and presentation, you will learn what you are doing correctly and where you need assistance.

Workshops will take place at Standing Ovation Studios, 1 Labriola Court, Armonk, NY. For more information, visit www.standingovationstudios.org.

To register, call SOS at (914) 741-4205 or email the studio at
office@lytshows.org. **Please bring payment on the day of the workshop. **CASH or CHECK payable to LYT**

DAY 1: THE OPEN CALL
Thursday, January 31, 2013:
5pm - 8pm
$50 (General)
$25 (T.A.P. Members)

This workshop will teach you how to make a great first impression! From song choice to the first hello. Learn how to make the most of every audition and put your best foot forward. This is a great way to practice for any upcoming audition!

Treat this as if it were an actual audition.

WHAT TO BRING: Your song book, your audition piece for any upcoming production, headshot and resume stapled together. If you do not have any of these things, please just bring a song that you can work on. You will learn how to build your book and create a resume. You will not be dancing at this workshop so dance attire is not necessary.

DAY 2: THE CALLBACK
Saturday, February 2, 2013:
11am - 2pm
$50 (General)
$25 (T.A.P. Members)

This workshop will focus on the callback portion of an audition. During this audition, you will sing, dance and act. You will be given parts of scripts and songs that you will learn and present. You'll be taught how to handle a "cold reading," and discover what the people behind the table want to see. You will also attend a dance audition. We will let you in on what choreographers like to "spring" on the unassuming auditioner.

Treat this as if it were an actual audition.

WHAT TO BRING: Proper dance attire, character shoes, and jazz shoes or jazz sneakers. Be warmed up and ready to dance. Headshot and resume stapled together. Sides and songs will be given to you.
