Photo Coverage: Portland Center Stage Presents 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE

Portland Center Stage presents the Tony Award-winning musical comedy, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee . The competition begins with previews on Tuesday, May 25, opens on Friday, May 28, and runs through June 27, 2010. Tickets start at $31.50, with student and under 18 discounts available. Rush tickets for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee are available a few minutes before each performance for $20. Show times are 7:30 pm Tuesday through Saturday, with a 2:00 pm Sunday matinee and alternating Saturday 2:00 pm and Sunday 7:30 pm performances. Portland Actors Conservatory Announces SUMMER ON STAGE YOUTH THEATRE

Portland Actors Conservatory has announced this year's instructors, program offerings and scholarships for its Summer on Stage programs. A new series of weeklong intensives for upper level acting students will be taught by Michelle Kopper Seymour of Vanport Square Studio in addition to the traditional camps taught by Andrea White and Melissa Whitney.

Miracle Theatre Group Holds DIALOGUES WITH DON QUIJOTE, 5/12-26

Miracle Theatre Group, with support from Oregon Humanities, presents a series of three Quijote-inspired conversations with humanities scholars, artists and community leaders to investigate ways in which the characters of the Cervantes classic novel still resonate today, including leading second lives in virtual words; the qualities required of good leaders; and the influence of Don Quijote on contemporary culture. The conversations, which are free and open to the public, begin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, May 12, 19 and 26 at the Milagro Theatre (525 SE Stark St., Portland). Due to limited seating, reservations are suggested by calling 503-236-7253, ext. 114 or visiting alejandra@milagro.org.

Willamette Shakespeare Introduces Celtic Band Roughly Hewn, 5/21 and 6/3

This summer, Willamette Shakespeare will be sharing the stage with Newberg-based Celtic band Roughly Hewn in its August production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. For those who can't wait until that production to hear them, there are two upcoming opportunities to catch them. In addition to playing at the Willamette Shakespeare Preview Party and Fundraiser on June 3rd at Stoller Vineyard, the band will be playing on Friday May 21st at The Coffee Cottage at 808 E Hancock in Newberg from 8 - 9:30 PM. Imago Theatre Revives FROGZ Through 5/16

Imago Theatre revives its most well known production, FROGZ, from April 15 to May 16. FROGZ opened at the New Victory Theater on Broadway in New York, in April of 2000 and returned to the New Victory in May 2002. FROGZ also performed a smash hit month-ling run at the award-winning American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusets in the summer of 2005.
