Arizona Theatre Company Receives $25k Grant From NEA

Arizona Theatre Company has received a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, thanks to the National Endowment for the Arts 2011 Access to Artistic Excellence Award. This grant supports ATC's Theatre Education Residency program allowing the company to continue and expand its education programs throughout the state of Arizona

The Canyon Moon Theatre is producing its third annual 'Ritzy Rummage Sale' with a wide range of up-scale donations that will not only benefit the theatre but the donors. A bargain hunter's bonanza, it will include furnishings, décor and fine art, household items and boutique fashions. The sale runs from Friday, May 20 through Sunday, May 22. It will be held at the vacant Casa de Sedona store in the Oak Creek Factory Outlets.

Collagraphy is a printing technique where the plate is built up by gluing various materials and textures in layers, ink is added to the plate and transferred to paper via a press, thus creating a collagraphy print. Collagraphs are original prints, and can be signed and framed. This is an exciting and unique form of printmaking.

Theater Works KIDS ALIVE program is proud to produce one of the finest operettas of all time!!! Young and older alike will love this youthful presentation of HMS PINAFORE! Come see kids of all ages portray the story of Ralph, a sailor aboard the ship HMS Pinafore, who falls in love with Captain Corcoran's daughter, Josephine, even though he is way below her rank - which Dick Deadeye, the surliest sailor on the Captain's ship, relishes in pointing out. Performing on Tuesday, May 17th and Monday, May 23rd at 7 p.m. tickets are only $5 at the door. A performance for Special Needs patrons will be held on Friday, May 20th at 10 a.m. and a donation of $2/person is requested.
