Traveling to New York City is not a necessity for fans of Broadway musicals. ASU Gammage in Tempe, Ariz. hosts an incredible line up of seven award winning shows in the 2011/2012 Broadway PROGRESSIVE® BROADWAY Across America -Arizona series, including the season opener WEST SIDE STORY, fan favorite WICKED and the smash hit musical, Green Day'S AMERICAN IDIOT.

ASU Gammage is among the largest university-based presenters of the performing arts in the world and plays host to one of the most successful Broadway series in the country. The 2010/2011 series was a leading economic engine for Tempe as well as the rest of the Phoenix area, generating more than $35 million in economic impact.

Tickets are on sale now for all shows except for WICKED, which will be on sale later this fall.

Subscriptions for the 7-show Broadway series are on sale now and begin at $114. The 4-show mini-subscriptions include a Family Pack, Classics Pack and Broadway's Hottest Hits Pack, starting at just $66. ASU Gammage, a historic hall designed by internationally-renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, is located within walking distance of the downtown Mill Avenue District. Ten restaurants along Mill Avenue will offer "Dinner and a Show" deals for theater patrons. Upon presentation of an ASU Gammage ticket stub on the day of each show, guests will receive discounts or special offers from restaurants such as Canteen Modern Tequila Bar, Monti's La Casa Vieja, La Bocca Pizzeria & Wine Bar, Z'Tejas and Caffé Boa. Theatre patrons will also receive four hours of free parking at designated parking structures with their ticket stub.

Tempe is located in the heart of the Metropolitan Phoenix area and has quickly become an arts destination in its own right.
