The event took place this afternoon, at the greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks where a team of 60-plus men and women hoisted more than 1000 steel poles from the ground up.

(3/28/2019) - Philadelphia Theatre Company follows The Bridges of Madison County with the Philadelphia premiere of a new work from Christina Anderson. In a co-production with Baltimore Center Stage, PTC introduces local audiences to the talents of rising star Christina Anderson and her stunning new play How To Catch Creation, Philadelphia Theatre Company's pick from the 2017 Kilroys List. The "List" was created to give theatre producers a choice of underproduced works by women, with a recent focus on trans, and non-binary writers.  Producing Artistic Director Paige Price has tapped Nataki Garrett, former Associate Artistic Director of Denver Center for the Performing Arts Theater Company (DCPA), to direct this production. (2/11/2019) - Inis Nua Theatre presents English playwright Monsay Whitney's Box Clever for its American premiere, directed by Artistic Director Tom Reing. In a women's shelter in London, headstrong, mouthy and maybe a little crazy Marnie struggles to take care of her four-year-old daughter in a moving and relevant dark comedy. This edgy two-hander stars Inis newcomer Ruby Wolf as Marnie, and Inis alum Rachel Brodeur playing all other roles. Previews begin Wednesday, February 6, with opening night on Friday, February 8. The show runs through February 24, 2019 for a total of 15 performances. All performances will take place at the Louis Bluver Theatre at the Drake, 302 South Hicks Street. Tickets are $25 - $35. The production is the second of the inaugural season under Producing Artistic Director Paige Price. For Bridges, Price has tapped Mark Martino to direct a cast rich with local theatre stars and Barrymore Award-winners, alongside actors with notable national and Broadway credits. The cast is led by Philadelphia actress Sarah Gliko and PA Native and Broadway actor Gregg Goodbrod. Recent Barrymore Award winner Amanda Morton (Passing Strange, Wilma Theater) will serve as the Music Director.
