On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, 'Black Girls Cheer,' a landmark documentary produced by Double Good, made its world premiere at the Landmark Theatres Ritz East in Philadelphia. The documentary follows the creation of an organization that provides a platform to give voice and visibility to cheerleaders of color.
Black Girls Cheer is showing the world that black girls cheer through providing a platform that gives voice and visibility to cheerleaders of color. The documentary explores the creation of the organization and its mission to help young girls of color see themselves represented in the cheerleading community.
