Yesterday, the Barbershop Quartet from the revival of The Music Man visited Chef Melba Wilson at her iconic Harlem institution, Melba’s Restaurant. Melba served up some of her famous dishes before surprising the group with a new special edition item that has been added to her menu: “Melba’s Music Man Sundae.” See photos and video here!

Just yesterday, The Music Man kicked off its opening week with a special event including an (un)official Mayoral Proclamation by Mayor George Shinn (Jefferson Mays) and a performance by The Barbershop Quartet (Phillip Boykin, Eddie Korbich, Daniel Torres, Nicholas Ward), all to celebrate the production's 21 Broadway debuts. Just last night, King made a surprise trip to the show, where she not only shocked the cast onstage, but managed to raise $30,000 for BC/EFA for a special duet of 'You've Got a Friend' with Jessie Mueller.
