The Broadway Company of THE PROM launched the #buildavirtualprom initiative encouraging teenagers all over the world who missed pivotal high school experiences, like the Prom, to get dressed up and dance their unruly hearts out in their homes. 

Long Island's newest year-round professional theatrical venue, The Argyle Theatre, presents the hit Broadway musical Disney's The Little Mermaid with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and book by Doug Wright.

This week, [title of show] celebrates eleven years since this original musical became part of it all on Broadway! In honor of the occasion, we're looking back at the show's opening night featuring Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Heidi Blickenstaff, and Susan Blackwell! BroadwayWorld has just learned that The Prom will perform at the WorldPride Closing Ceremony on June 30th in Times Square. Melissa Etheridge will headline the Closing Ceremony, which will also include performances by Jake Shears & MNEK. Additional talent will be announced in the weeks ahead.
