The La Jolla Playhouse production of the new American musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY will open Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street), following a preview period that begins Saturday, February 23, 2013. Check out a just-released television spot below!

Just yesterday, producers Broadway Across America (John Gore, Thomas B. McGrath, Beth Williams), Rich Entertainment Group (Bob and Mindy Rich), Barbara Whitman, Latitude Link, Dede Harris, Sharon Karmazin, and Howard and Janet Kagan just announced that the La Jolla Playhouse production of the new American musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY will bow on Broadway in the 2012-2013 season. La Jolla Playhouse's Hands on a Hardbody will run April 27 - June 17, 2012 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre. The world-premiere, commissioned musical has a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife, Creditors), lyrics by Amanda Green (High Fidelity), music by Trey Anastasio (lead singer of the popular band Phish) and Amanda Green, with direction by Neil Pepe (Speed-the-Plow) and musical staging by Benjamin Millepied (BLACK SWAN). LIVING FOR TODAY, with musical direction by Nate Patten, and direction by David Alpert, played a one-night-only engagement at the newly renovated Joe's Pub last night, October 17, 2011 at 7:00PM. The fourth annual LIVING FOR TODAY concert showcased Broadway stars in an exciting night of music. This year's concert, titled FIRST NAME BASIS, featured everyone's favorite showtunes, but only those with a first name in the title. Proceeds go to the Gilana Shira Alpert Fund.
