Bay Street Theater Kicks Off Its Summer Season with A Party

On Tuesday, May 28, 2022, Bay Street had a kickoff cocktail party celebrating the start of their Summer season! Hosted by Tracy Mitchell with creatives from bay Street's first summer Production, Windfall, Emmy nominated composer and writer of Windfall Richard Kind, and comedy legend and director Jason Alexander. Artistic Director Scott Schwartz, Board members, and patrons all gathered by the water to celebrate the return after two years of virtual or socially distanced shows. Both Scott Schwartz and Tracy Mitchell spoke at the party about the upcoming season and marked the true return to theatre at Bay Street!
Blueprint Productions to Present CHEKHOV + TURGENEV

Blueprint Productions presents Chekhov + Turgenev, two Russian classics presented in repertory, and scored in jazz: About Love, a musical play with songs, inspired by Ivan Turgenev’s novella, “First Love”; and Three Sisters, a sparkling new adaptation of the play Anton Chekhov.
Bay Street Theater Announces 2022 Mainstage Season

The three productions will be Windfall (May 31–June 19), a new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander; Anna in the Tropics (June 28–July 24) the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Nilo Cruz, directed by Marcos Santana; and Ragtime (August 2–28), with music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Terrence McNally, directed by Will Pomerantz.
