On Tuesday, May 28, 2022, Bay Street had a kickoff cocktail party celebrating the start of their Summer season! Hosted by Tracy Mitchell with creatives from bay Street's first summer Production, Windfall, Emmy nominated composer and writer of Windfall Richard Kind, and comedy legend and director Jason Alexander. Artistic Director Scott Schwartz, Board members, and patrons all gathered by the water to celebrate the return after two years of virtual or socially distanced shows. Both Scott Schwartz and Tracy Mitchell spoke at the party about the upcoming season and marked the true return to theatre at Bay Street!

Musical theatre fandom and body image issues in Ana Nogueira's hilarious and touching Which Way To The Stage. Also, Clubbed Thumb's Summerworks commences with Trish Harnetiaux's fun and offbeat California and jazz favorite Nancy Harrow scores a pair of Russian classics.

Blueprint Productions is presenting Chekhov + Turgenev, two Russian classics presented in repertory, and scored in jazz: About Love, a musical play with songs, inspired by Ivan Turgenev’s novella, “First Love”; and Three Sisters, a sparkling new adaptation of the play Anton Chekhov. Bucks County Playhouse Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producer Josh Fiedler announced titles and creative teams for the theater’s 2022 season, which will launch May 20.

Blueprint Productions presents Chekhov + Turgenev, two Russian classics presented in repertory, and scored in jazz: About Love, a musical play with songs, inspired by Ivan Turgenev’s novella, “First Love”; and Three Sisters, a sparkling new adaptation of the play Anton Chekhov.

The three productions will be Windfall (May 31–June 19), a new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander; Anna in the Tropics (June 28–July 24) the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Nilo Cruz, directed by Marcos Santana; and Ragtime (August 2–28), with music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Terrence McNally, directed by Will Pomerantz.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced its Holiday Silent Auction begins Sunday, November 21, and continues through Thursday, December 2. Items will be available for bidding 24 hours a day, each day, by visiting the auction link at baystreet.org. Registration is required. Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the return of Title Wave @ Bay Street: The New Works Series for its 7th year, with performances of four new plays live and in-person at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor.

The fun continues with several more events, including a ladies outing at The Madoo Conservancy, as well as A Memorable Evening in Memphis Modern to be held at Trustee member Eric Segal and his wife Joyce’s home in Southampton on Thursday, August 19, at 7 p.m.

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the addition of playwright and producer Josh Wilder as Artistic Associate. Josh will originate this newly created position alongside Artistic Director Scott Schwartz and Associate Artistic Director Will Pomerantz, and newly added Literary Manager, Hope Villanueva, to develop Mainstage productions, new works, and special projects on behalf of Bay Street Theater.

The series consists of monthly 60-minute seminars focusing on topics such as stage acting, playwriting, storytelling, and exercises in creative motivation.

This virtual production is adapted by Bay Street Theater Director of Education & Community Outreach, Allen O’Reilly.
