The South Carolina New Play Festival has unveiled its season lineup for 2025. The 4th annual festival will take place over four days, transforming Greenville, South Carolina into a hub of theatrical innovation from Thursday, August 7- Sunday, August 10.

The SC New Play Festival is launching “South Carolina's Next Broadway Star” a scholarship contest aimed at amplifying and supporting high school musical theater students across South Carolina.

It will take place over four days, starting on Thursday, August 8, and will feature a wide range of musicals, plays, town halls, an outdoor variety stage, and will culminate in a Cabaret featuring Tony-nominee Phillip Boykin (Hadestown) on August 11.

The South Carolina New Play Festival has announced casting for A Black-billed Cuckoo by Mat Smart, KWEEN by Vichet Chum, The Essential Alice by Michael Friedman and Annie Weisman and Catching the Moon, The Story of A Young Girl's Baseball Dream by Nichole Jackson and Tyrone L. Robinson.
