The YouTube Original series ORIGIN, an intergalactic space thriller starring Tom Felton [Harry Potter film franchise, Rise of the Planet of the Apes] and Natalia Tena [Harry Potter film franchise, Game of Thrones], is available NOW on YouTube Premium.

With just a few days until the premiere of the highly anticipated YouTube Originals series ORIGIN, YouTube has partnered with Sent Into Space to debut the first few minutes of episode one, with a special introduction from series star, Tom Felton, all from space! Fans can get a glimpse of episode one via an interactive 360 camera view of a Google Pixelbook floating high above earth in the open atmosphere. With the 360 video, viewers are able to explore the mysterious corners of space while watching the sneak peek of ORIGIN, backdropped with an amazing visual of earth.

“The Dougherty Gang,” is based on a true story and the GQ article 'The Whole True Story of the Dougherty Gang' by Kathy Dobie. Written & directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sean McEwen (Whaling”), The Dougherty Gang is his second directorial feature film, having also shepherded as a producer a number of hit films including: “Another Happy Day,” “Bernie” “Graceland” and “Punching Henry.” Starring Emory Cohen (“Brooklyn,” “The Place Beyond the Pines” “War Machine”), India Eisley (Patty Jenkins “I Am The Night,” “Underworld: Awakening,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”), and Sam Strike (“Timeless,” “Leatherface,” “EastEnders”), as three siblings whom embark on a cross-country crime spree, hoping to start a new life across the border. Tess Harper (“No Country For Old Men,” “Tender Mercies,” “Crimes of the Heart”), meets them on their journey, while Cory Hardrict (“American Sniper,” “Warm Bodies,” “Battle Los Angeles”), and Treat Williams (“Chicago Fire,” Deep Rising,” “Blue Bloods”) work to bring them to justice.

YouTube Announces Fall 2018 Slate and 2019 Projects

Today at the Television Critics Association session, YouTube showcased its upcoming Original series and announced renewals for 2018/2019. From ambitious projects and compelling documentaries showcasing YouTube stars, to inventive comedies, bold dramas and live events featuring from some of the biggest names in Hollywood, YouTube continues to offer innovative programming that engages its audience. Since the launch of YouTube Originals in 2015, Original content has been viewed more than 650 million times.

In Origin, a chilling new original series from the producers of The Crown & Lost, we meet a group of troubled passengers as they wake up on a damaged spaceship abandoned in deep space. Each having left behind a dark past in search of a fresh start on a newly colonised planet, they're desperate to survive at all costs. But as their terrifying situation spirals into paranoia, they come to realize that the greatest threat to their dream of starting over – and indeed their lives – might actually be within their midst…

YouTube today unveiled the cast for ORIGIN, a riveting new sci-fi thriller from the producers of The Crown andStrike Back. In ORIGIN, a group of strangers find themselves stranded on a spacecraft bound for a distant planet. The abandoned passengers must work together for survival, but quickly realize that one of them is far from who they claim to be. Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, AVP: Alien vs. Predator, Event Horizon) is directing the first two episodes of this 10-episode series, currently filming in South Africa. ORIGIN will be coming exclusively to YouTube Red later this year.
