Sarasota Opera has announced the return of its popular summer movie  series: Classic Movies at the Opera House and HD at the Opera House, celebrating the  Sarasota Opera House's cinematic roots and vibrant cultural legacy.

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Center has come alive with enchantment and mischief as it hosts the touring performance of the Broadway musical Beetlejuice. Directed with flair and creativity, this delightfully dark and comedic musical captures the spirit of Tim Burton's beloved film while morphing it into a vibrant theatrical experience. The production tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a teenage girl with a fascination for the macabre, who accidentally summons the ghost of Beetlejuice, a wise-cracking, mischievous spirit eager to scare the living—a plot that leads to a delightful mix of chaos and laughs.

The HBO Original two-part documentary Pee-wee as Himself will debut Friday, May 23 (8:00 p.m.-11:20 p.m. ET/PT) with both parts airing back-to-back on HBO and will be available to stream on Max. Watch the trailer now!

The Muny will honor St. Louis theatre legend Ken Page by renaming the St. Louis High School Musical Theatre Awards, dedicating a new stage in his name and inducting him into the Muny Hall of Fame.

OMG what a fun time I had experiencing BEETLEJUICE at Century II last night! The audience was having a blast, whooping and hollering, and gave the cast a standing ovation at the end of it all!

I had the privilege of interviewing Patrick Oliver Jones, who plays Otho Fenlock, Delia Deetz’ closest friend and Interior Designer who helps her remodel her new home. Patrick also has several ensemble tracks, and understudies the roles of Charles and Maxie Dean. His many stage credits include the original cast of First Wives Club in Chicago, and the North American tours of The Addams Family and Evita. His television credits include co-starring roles on Blue Bloods and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Patrick is also the award-winning podcast producer and host of Why I’ll Never Make It and Closing Night.

Back by popular demand, the ghost-with-the-most is returning to Detroit in this edgy and irreverent Broadway musical comedy. BEETLEJUICE will play Detroit's Fisher Theatre August 5 – 10.
