SYFY to Debut New Series SYFY WIRE'S THE GREAT DEBATE

What happens when you throw a group of nerds in a room and ask them the universe's most important questions? Questions like 'Who'd be a worse boss, Darth Vader or the Joker?' or 'Would you rather have a Green Lantern ring or a Wizard Wand?' You get SYFY's newest series, SYFY WIRE'S THE GREAT DEBATE! Set to debut on SYFY this Summer 2020, the freshman series' 12 half-hour episodes will go into production in Los Angeles in March.

Quibi Greenlights RENO 911! Season Seven from Comedy Central Productions

Beloved comedy series RENO 911! has been greenlit for a new, seventh season by Quibi, it was announced today by Quibi and producing partner Comedy Central Productions. The ensemble comedy was created by and stars Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon, all of whom are attached to write and star in the new season. Peter Principato of Artists First will executive produce the series along with Danny DeVito, Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher of Jersey Television. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Pop TV Announces HOT DATE to Return for Second Season

Pop TV announced that HOT DATE, the sketch comedy series spotlighting modern-day relationship dilemmas, will return for its second season on Friday, Sept. 20 at 10:00 and 10:30 PM, ET/PT. The half-hour, 10-episode series stars real-life married couple Emily Axford and Brian Murphy, two comedians who appear in the show as heightened versions of themselves trying to figure out this thing called love. In its second season, HOT DATE welcomes a swipe-right list of guest stars including Randall Park ('Always Be My Maybe,' 'Fresh Off the Boat'), Margaret Cho ('Drop Dead Diva,' '30 Rock') and Thomas Lennon ('Reno 911,' 'The Odd Couple').

Claiming the coveted Theatrical Award for best cinematography in a motion picture, Łukasz Żal, PSC took home the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Award for his work on “Cold War.” Giorgi Shvelidze took the Spotlight Award for “Namme.” In the TV categories, winners included Adriano Goldman, ASC, ABC, BSC for “The Crown”; Jon Joffin, ASC for “Beyond”; and James Friend, BSC for “Patrick Melrose.” The 33 rd ASC Awards gala took place tonight in the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland, with Ben Mankiewicz from TCM taking his second turn as host.

RYAN HANSEN SOLVES CRIMES ON TELEVISION*,  a meta comedy skewering Hollywood and police procedurals, returns for Season 2 on January 30, 2019 on YouTube Premium.  The show stars Hansen, as a ridiculous version of himself, who joins an LAPD task force partnering actors with homicide detectives so they can use their “actor skills” to help solve murders. In Season 2, Ryan's back, but after Detective Mathers, Ryan's partner from the first season (Samira Wiley), gets sidelined, rogue cop Vince Vincente (Avon Barksdale Wood Harris) steps in as Ryan's new partner. Together the two will have to buddy up to solve an array of puzzling crimes.
