Broadway veteran Taye Diggs is now in his final three weeks of performances as “The Duke of Monroth” in the Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Diggs performs through Sunday, September 28th with David Harris returning to the role on Tuesday, September 30th. Harris originated “The Duke of Monroth” in the Moulin Rouge! The Musical North American Tour and made his debut in the show on Broadway.

Last year, Disney announced a series greenlight for Sofia the First: Royal Magic, a continuation of the hit preschool series. Now, it has been confirmed that several original cast members will return, including Broadway's Wayne Brady, Sara Ramirez, and more.

Despite having two parents in the performing arts, Taye Diggs's son doesn't understand the appeal. During a visit to Live with Kelly and Mark, Diggs told the hosts that his 15-year-old son's interests lie elsewhere. Watch the conversation now.

Moulin Rouge! the Musical on Broadway has released a first look at its upcoming stars – Wayne Brady and Taye Diggs! The new video features a first look at the pair in costume, counting down the days until their first performances later this month.

Broadway’s original “Tracy Turnblad,” Marissa Jaret Winokur will direct 5-Star Theatricals' upcoming production of the Tony Award winning musical, HAIRSPRAY, music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan and based on the John Waters film.

Ashley Loren and Christian Douglas will be Broadway’s next Satine and Christian, respectively, in Moulin Rouge! the Musical on Broadway. They join alongside Wayne Brady as Harold Zidler and Taye Diggs as The Duke of Monroth.

Currently on stage at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre through Sunday, June 8, is the World Premiere of ME AND THE DEVIL, written and directed by the Rep’s new Artistic Director, Steve H. Broadnax III. Described as his “love note to the South,” the production pulses with blues, brims with drama, and drips with decadence—everything we love in a show. A few days before opening night, we had the privelege to get to know this powerhouse artist.

The past month represented the strongest May grosses in Broadway history, with each week being well over the $40 million mark for the second month in a row. These grosses were high enough to make the 2024-2025 Broadway season the highest grossing season in history, beating the 2018-2019 season.

The past month represented the strongest April grosses in Broadway history, with each week being well over the $40 million mark, and Easter week peaking at over $50 million. Several shows opened, bringing the total number conncurrently running shows on Broadway to 40, the highest mark since 2018. As ever, some of those 40 are doing much better than others.
