That’s why the passion needs to be for the work, not the fame,' those were striking words of Julia Abueva, one of the stars of the Broadway musical KPOP, inspired by a global phenomenon.

Last night, history was made on Broadway as the musical sensation KPOP marked their opening celebration, ahead of the show’s official opening night on November 27. BroadwayWorld was there for the big night and you can check out photos from the curtain call here!

KPOP, the new Broadway musical, celebrates its opening tonight, November 20. KPOP is the first completely original musical on Broadway this year. KPOP, a new musical inspired by the global K-pop phenomenon, announces three new day-of ticketing initiatives in an effort to make tickets more accessible.

It was a box office frenzy at the CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE THEATRE as tickets went on sale for the upcoming new musical KPOP. The box office opened at 10 am on Thursday and the line started at 8 am and continued weaving onto 50th Street throughout the day. Check out photos 

The box office opens for Broadway's KPOP, a new musical inspired by the global K-pop phenomenon. In honor of the 19 members of the KPOP company making their Broadway debuts, the production is offering a limited number of $19 tickets to preview performances.

The complete cast has been announced for Broadway’s KPOP, a new musical inspired by the global K-pop phenomenon, which will perform at Circle in the Square Theatre. In addition to Luna, a K-pop idol, other cast members from the K-pop world include BoHyung, Min, and Kevin Woo.

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Light the Night on August 16th at 7:00 pm. Winner of the Lucille Lortel and Richard Rodgers Awards, and three-time Drama Desk-nominee, composer-lyricist Helen Park is back with a concert after her sold-out debut in early 2020.

The upcoming premiere of KPOP, the new musical about the global K-pop phenomenon, will begin performances on Broadway with previews starting on Thursday, October 13, 2022, in advance of an opening night on Sunday, November 20, 2022. The show will play at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street).

Today, Brandon Michael Nase, founder and Executive Director of Broadway for Racial Justice (BFRJ) released two new music videos featuring Tee Boyich (Mean Girls) and Keri René Fuller (Jagged Little Pill, Cats National Tour), along with Bryohna Marie Parham (Porgy and Bess) and a vocal appearance from Tony Award nominee Rob McClure.

Composer Helen Park showcased her songs from K-POP, 50 First Dates and more in a fierce, chic, real concert at 54 Below that featured some of the best talent in town, including Ashley Park, Jason Tam and Helen Park herself.
