First it was a musical, now Alice By Heart is a novel! Steven Sater's adaptation of his musical of the same name, was just released by Razorbill, an imprint of Penguin Random House.

Just last night, The New Group celebrated opening night of Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, a world premiere production arriving as part of the company's 25th Anniversary Season. Originally slated through March 15, this production is now set to play a limited Off-Broadway engagement through March 22.

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the United States, has announced BEN PLATT as the recipient of its 2020 Man of the Year Award, and the youngest ever Man of the Year in the 54 years of the award. The Pudding will present this honor to a Tony, Grammy, and Emmy award-winning actor and musician who has made a meaningful impact on Broadway, television, and film.

Steven Sater is a two time Tony Award winning, Olivier Award winning, and Grammy Award winning, writer and author of shows such as Murder at the Gates, Alice by Heart, and of course, Spring Awakening. He is now also the author of Alice by Heart the novel, being released on Feb 4th, 2020.

Steven Sater (Spring Awakening) will appear at NYC's The Strand (828 Broadway at 12th Street) to discuss his debut novel, Alice By Heart, an adaptation of his hit Off-Broadway musical of the same name, on Friday, February 7 at 7PM in The Strand's Rare Books Room.
