Anchorage Concert Association, the state's largest arts and entertainment presenter, announces  10 more shows from its 2019/2020 season line-up

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has won the late-night ratings week of April 29-May 3 in adults 18-49 by a margin of +0.07 of a rating point over “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research. Note that a Friday “Tonight” encore is excluded from these averages and a Friday “Jimmy Kimmel Live” rebroadcast is included.

Ryan Hamilton, presented by the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts at University of Denver and Comedy Works Entertainment, is coming to the Newman Center in Denver on Friday, October 4th at 7:30pm.

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT announced today three weeks of amazing, celebrity-filled shows in May to wrap the television season, beginning Monday, May 6 (11:35 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

CBS (7.742 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) was the network to beat on Thursday with its mix of 'The Big Bang Theory' (12.168 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1), 'Young Sheldon' (10.529 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2), 'Mom' (7.961 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5), 'Life in Pieces' (5.629 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and 'SWAT' (5.084 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9).

The Second City is a premiere improv troupe from Chicago, and they are back in Des Moines for an all-new show. 'It's Not You, it's Me.-The Second City' opened on April 30 at The Temple Theatre as part of the Prairie Meadows Temple Comedy Series. I had the opportunity to go to the May 1 performance and found myself laughing from beginning to the end.

Trump in Space, winner of the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival Encore! Producer's Award, has announced the final extension of its run of Friday nights at The Second City Hollywood Studio Theatre. The engagement must end August 16.

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT will air live following both nights of the first Democratic debate, Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27 (11:35 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. This will mark the 20th and 21st time THE LATE SHOW has broadcast live. The most recent live broadcast aired following the State of the Union Address on Tuesday, Feb. 5. Guests joining Colbert for the live broadcast from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York will be announced at a later date.

NBC (6.064 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) was the most-watched network on Monday thanks to new episodes of 'The Voice' (7.200 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) and 'The Enemy Within' (3.791 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

Ludlow Garage presents Aaron Lazar in his cabaret show Broadway to Hollywood for one performance only on Monday, May 6, 2019 8:00pm. Described by the Associated Press as a 'vocal powerhouse,' Lazar's show follows his career from stage to screen, with songs from his many Broadway credits (which include The Last Ship and A Little Night Music among others), a medley of film and musical theater classics, and more.

North Carolina-based quintet Rainbow Kitten Surprise has announced a fall leg of their wildly popular 2019 North American headline tour.  The newly announced run of shows kicks off at the Corona Theatre in Montreal on September 14th.  All dates being announced today will allow fans the option for a VIP ticket upgrade, which will include a private acoustic performance prior to the show.  The fall tour also marks the continuation of Rainbow Kitten Surprise's relationship with PLUS1, an initiative which helps support the band's partnership with Equality NC, a North Carolina-based organization working to protect LGBTQ rights.  On nearly all the band's US dates, PLUS1 has facilitated $1 from each ticket sold to be donated to the advocacy group – the oldest statewide LGBT equality organization in the United States.  In Montreal, the organization Project 10 will be the recipient of the PLUS1 dollars.

Comedian Kathleen Madigan will bring her national HOT DOGS & ANGELS TOUR, presented by SiriusXM, to Paramount Theatre on November 2nd. A 2nd show has been added at 9:30pm due to demand. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 26th at 4pm. Madigan continues her nonstop tour playing to diehard fans, new and old, with stops in cities across the country. Says Madigan, "I LOVE the road. I don't know what would happen if I stayed in one place for more than a week and at this point I'm not sure I wanna find out."

ABC (4.876 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) was the demo champ on Thursday thanks to its primetime coverage of the '2019 NFL Draft - Round 1' (4.876 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3).

GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, announced today that star of the Broadway LBGTQ-themed musical phenomenon "The Prom," Caitlin Kinnunen, will perform the show's LGBTQ youth anthem 'Unruly Heart' with the NYC Youth Pride Chorus at the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York on Saturday, May 4, 2019.

NBC (7.591 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) was the top draw on Wednesday with its original lineup of 'Chicago Med' (7.714 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T4), 'Chicago Fire' (8.012 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) and 'Chicago PD' (7.047 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T4).

NBC (5.169 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1) was back on top in demos last night with its revised lineup of 'The Village' (4.112 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8), 'The Voice' (6.184 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) and 'New Amsterdam' (5.210 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2).
